The new king has arrived
Setting up a feast for the ones fasting
Hope of kingdom revived
From eternity past to future everlasting

Places next to his throne
Left and right already taken
Veil of darkness falling
Ground's foundations shaken

Prevailing in his deliverance
Weight of throne crushing evil's head
Token of the cunning serpent's loss
Dividing the new inheritance
Citizenship in kingdom without end
Its new shield furnished with a cross

Proceeding from a swift burial
Into the everlasting wedding
As all the chains are broken
Death's power is now shedding

The king was dead
For the moment that compressed all eternity

Forever will he live
Adorning the once dead with fullness of life

He is the Living One
And because he lives, we shall live also
