Anxiety and worry are both attacks on the mind intended to distract us from serving the lord. The enemy also uses both of these torment to press out faith down, so it cannot rise up and help us live in victory.

I myself suffered from social anxiety, worrying about things I can’t control, worrying about the future and so much more. But with God I overcome them and have a personal relationship with God.
I gave my anxiety, worries to God. Because the battle belongs to him.

Some people have a problem with worry that it might even be said that they are addicted to worrying. If they don’t have something of their own to worry about, they will worry over someone else’s situation.

Peace isn’t something that can be put on a person, it’s a fruit of the spirit ( Galatians 5:22) and fruit is the result of abiding in the vine ( john 15:4) Abiding relates to entering the rest of God’s spoken of in the forth Chapter of Hebrews as well as other places in the word of God.

God knows what what we need before we ask. If we will simply make out requests know to him ( Philippians 4:6) He will bring them to pass in His own good timing. Worrying will not help out cause at all . It will just add to our problem.

Don’t worry, Trust( lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and filers surely on His faithfulness and truly you shall be fed ( psalm 37:3).

God bless you
Thanks

I admit I have to give myself a talking to once in a while. It's a family trait, worry and anxiety. I do a lot of praying and talking to myself to walk in faith. Thank you for your post, it's encouraging for those of us who do suffer from anxiety from time to time.

the Christian definition of anxiety is misplaced priorities in life! & anxiety is a fifth of the DABDA Mode: depression, anger, bargaining, denial & anxiety! the Dabda mode is what most people go thru when they are dying.

Hi! Right! We all have different personalities, too, and some are more inclined to worrying than others, I think. I know my personality is that way. But I've also seen how surrendering my life wholly to the Lord has been a greatt help to both my life and my thought life - my thoughts are a lot more wholesome, and full of hope and faith, as compared to before I fully committed my life to the Lord.

I am learning that anxiety, stress, and worry shows up in a tense, unhealthy body, they go hand in hand. Also, a relaxed body, like a trusting relaxed mind, is in perfect balance.

The Lord's word that we follow not only leads us to eternal life, but leads us to peace and contentment in this life.

My wife is busy studing the book by Dr Michelle Strydom. She is a doctor from Zimbabwe that is working in South Africa and God shared with her through the Bible how many illnesses are caused by our state of mind and emotions... Sad to see that not more doctors are studying the word of God.

It seems to me that Christians should know what research of our world and health is finding out. It can add to our understanding of God's word, but ONLY if we accept that God created us and God's word is truth, science makes mistakes but God does not.

I have been reading about research done to find out how our brain works, but I found that unscrupulous people are adding to the research to create scams.

There is nothing new in any of the research. It only substaniates what scripture teaches us, and sometimes gives the how the research proves scripture. For example, brain imagine shows how the brain changes and heals when trust and forgiveness replaces fear and hate.

You should actually read (or listen) to her testimony. She is a Christian doctor and when she started out she realised that the medical profession can only assist with a very small percentage of illnesses. She journeyed with Abba Father and he taught her out of the Bible. Really interesting if you are into it.

There was a thing with teenagers called 'status anxiety' which it seems a lot of facebookers worried about cos they didnt know what to put about 'updating their status' in the early days of facebook.

Then facebook changed this question to 'how are you feeling' and the floodgates opened.....

People that worried about their future would consult their horoscopes to get their lucky numbers for the day, but the horoscope writers could only ever see one day at a time if they were working for a newspaper that was published everyday and it always changed the next day. This was to keep people buying newspapers everyday.

If they didnt spend time worrying about their own future mothers on particular worried about their childrens future, and some were so worried facing the that their children would eventually leave them with an empty nest that they became 'helicopter mothers' and joined facebook so they could spy on their children. The children then left facebook once they realised their mothers had joined and started posting embrassing photos of them online showing how messy their rooms were.

The children grew up and got jobs, some casting horoscopes for a living and saying to worried callers 'In the future, you may die but it wont be for a while yet' to assure them that life was still worth living. They then picked a lucky random number from their calculator.
