I am reading books about documented cases of people who successfully decided to try natural ways to get well from even the most serious types of cancer. Some did it completely through diet and lifestyle changes, some through a combination of conventionally recommended chemotherapy and such.

I am reading that chemotherapy, though often very successful, causes damage to the body and a lot to the immune system. Factors like this do need thought. So much suffering is caused by it's side effects, but of course it has it's place in treatment.

Of course it is entirely individual choice as each patient has their own opinion over what to do with doctors recommendations. Yet there ARE cases of complete recovery from cancer by entirely natural means of supporting one's immune system. It is a brave choice and some people are successful in finding the key to unlocking their own ability to heal. This is so interesting as I think it is not really an area of great research. Doctors tend to dismiss rare completely natural remissions.

I wonder if anyone here has an opinion or experience or knowledge of someone recovering without medical help?
Do keep in mind I am merely curious, not telling anyone what to do and certainly not seeking arguments. Cancer is so common now and is very scary, it is best to know we have a choice over how to tackle it.
One book I am reading is 'Cancer: Survivors Stories: They did it. You can too,' by Jonathan Chamberlain.

Another is Remarkable Recovery by Caryle Hirshberg. Also The Cancer Survivors Club by Chris Geiger.

The cases in these books are inspirational and often very moving, about very brave patients who knew first hand what it is to face serious illness.
chemotherapy combined with radio therapy is the preferred choice of treatment for stage 1 to stage 3 cancers and some stage 4 cancers.

This treatment is getting more successful these days with new and more advanced proton laser guided radio therapy machines, that can target any cancer tumor straight in the middle of the tumor anywhere in the body. With less damage to surrounding tissue.

Providing the tumor is not in a vital organ.

Radio therapy can not be used in this case, of stage 4 cancers, that are in vital organs, as Theese are a different animal.

Often when the cancer is in a vital organ, chemo on its own is used combined with cancer drugs.

Or cancer fighting drugs on there own, and with or on its own something called immunotherapy, which is very expensive.

Basically immunotherapy works by taking your white blood cells, growing them in a lab and turning the into killer white blood cells, basically growing them a lot bigger. And planting them back in your body.

In alot of cases it shrinks the tumor but doesn't eradicate it.

Of course the other option is to have the cancer cut out. But often this option comes after chemo and radiation or chemo drugs.

Surgical removal leaves scar liaisons around the cancer site, which can be easily reinfected with cancer later on.

This is why chemo and radiation is preferred.

The percentage of survival are higher in the long run if chemo and radiation is successful as this quickly stuns the tumor, and stops it from dividing Futher.

It also allows for the site where the tumor was, to fully heal after a couple of years.

There are things you can do to aid the cell damage repair in the first two years after chemo combined with radio therapy . Like adapting a healthy life style.

It generally take a person 2 years, for a person after chemo and radiation to fully get the white blood cells to maximum strength all around the body..

But again there are thing you can do to help this process.

But in regards to fighting cancer by diet I would not recommend it.

I've lost my specs so please bare with me, The problem with the idea that diet alone can rid a person of cancer once they have it, is born from a myth.

Its proven that obesity is the second biggest cause of cancer after smoking.

And obesity is result for most, a result of to much free sugar.

So the myth was born that eating less less sugar starves cancer.

Well no being over weight puts a person at risk to 13 known cancers, and theres 120 known cancers.

And for a lot of cancers they can be proven what has caused it like smoking or aids or HPV virus

Or radiation or other viruses that turn healthy cells to turn cancerous

Or even if its heredity.

All of which can be proven in lab tests.

Red meat has also been proven to cause cancer because it creates a certain chemical in the body when we digest it. That is linked to bowel. cancer.

The only good advice I would give for diet is for the prevention of cancer IE not to get it in the first place first most, and not to fight cancer on it own, but for diet to fight cancer combined with professional medical treatment.

Replacing free refined sugars with complex natural sugars is a bonus steaming food is another, including meat, thinly chopped chicken steamed for 20 mins is mouth watering delicious rather than frying it.

Raw veg is another good idea, especially onion garlic broccoli bell peppers spinach kale lettuce.

Walnuts are good
Green tea too.

A healthy amount of protein each day plus healthy fats none fried.

Me I opt for for raw extra pressed olive oil 15 ml mixed with raw garlic mixed with every meal.

Handy tip blend one whole garlic with 100 ml of olive oil until mixed smooth, put in a cup and it last 6 meals, mixed it some lightly steamed broccoli, that I steM only for 5 mins add raw spinach, chopped finely and 😋

Maybe a dash of lettuce to.

For desert a home made wall nut almond milk shake mixed with Coco powder. Throw in some Greek yogurt and blue berries some chia seeds and walla.

A healthy fish I considered the best is yummy steam mackerel soak over night in olive oil.

A good amount of foods each day higher in antioxidants is another.

Foods that regulate blood sugar is another like ginger, apple cider vinegar, lemon.

A good mix is 200 grams of juiced freshed ginger or blenef and pulp removed, 100 ml of apple cider vinegar 4 fresh lemons juiced and then added to a 5 litre bottle of fresh rain water. Which gives you 15 half pints which last 5 days if you drink them 3 times a day.

I mix my half pints with a touch of sweetened cranberry juice, but prefer to go for sucralose sweetened Cranberry juice
it's delicious, and it's got a real kick to it.

Stay tuned and Ill give you a quick and easy to cook carb free bread that takes 2 mins to mix and 3 mins to cook on the microwave. And when you add scrambled egg to this sandwich or even turn it into a fruit bread, well, let's just say God has brought me home. 😋

Getting a blood glucose monitor is another good idea, and good to know to know what your blood sugar levels are each day, and can really help, because that way you know if you can eat less sugar or need more etc.

A lot of people don't realise they only need so many grams of net carbs a day that keep there Bloody sugar in a safe level. Obesity and diabetes can happens quite quickly.

Whilst pre diabetes is reversible through diet. Diabetes is more difficult, so a blood glucose meter is a must, preferably one that pricks your blood.

My blood sugar levels are the same each morning and two hours after eating every day.

My home made quick and easy allmost carb free bread. 😋

1 small egg
10 grams of chia seed
10 grams of olive oil
10 grams of walnut it halves

Blend for two mins in a small blender, I'll post a link for a good one.

Poor the liquid in to six inch wide glass Pyrex bowl, or just use the glass bowl lid.

It will only fill the bottom 4 mm or so.

Place in the micro wave on a medium heat setting and in 4 mins it's done.

You can leave to dehydrate in the fridge over night or eat it straight of.

But you need to be extra careful when shopping it of the bottom when eating it straight away , like use a flat stainless steal spatula.

This I call just plain bread.

But you can add a couple of clove of garlic for one bread.

Or 30 grams of berries for another type of fruit bread.

You can put just about any filling in it. Chicken lettuce is good.

You can also make the bread thicker by doubling the ingredients.

2 eggs
20 grams of chia seeds
20 grams of nuts
20 grams of olive oil
7 mins On a medium in the microwave...

cut into four slices and add a beefburger with lettuce and egg
Lol.

stay tuned for my almost carb free delicious chocolate cancer fighting cake 😋

I would argue obesity is a symptom, as is cancer. Perhaps both obesity and cancer are caused by poisoning? If true, given that sugar is a poison, it then makes sense that cutting out sugar would help with both cancer and obesity.

Relationship between two (or more) factors is not a pathway for causation.
IE:
Cold nights causing stork migration does nothing for birth rates. But there is a direct relationship between these data points.

Obesity has causes....and they aren't usually related to simple gluttony. Some causes of obesity are mental health disorders but the mental health issues are caused by hormonal disorders....

Diabetes also has causes...Obesity can be a result of diabetes and not necessarily the cause of diabetes. (From an epidemiologist that studied diabetes)

The issues for cancer are extremely complex and complicated. A fad diet is not going to fix any of the issues and is likely to make things worse.

There is much to argue and learn in this field, but here is some sound advice on why obesity causes cancer.

But your right obesity can be a symptom.

People with obesity often have chronic inflammatory conditions such as gallstones or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. These conditions can cause oxidative stress, which leads to DNA damage and increases the risk of biliary tract and other cancers.

You don't have to be seriously over weight to get a fatty liver.. basically consuming a diet high in fat and sugar can be lethal. And many people are on such diet.

The Same a the HPV virus really. At some point in your life you will get it. And the virus never leaves you once you have it. Most of the population will also get the Epstein Barr virus.

99 percent of people will fight the virus of naturally when it wakes up from dormancy inside you.

1 percent won't fight it of well and unfortunately the virus will turn healthy cells cancerous.

Agreed. Since more than 95% of the population has this virus and stays dormant in our lives, more research is being put into it to see if we can find a vaccine for it. Because when activated it can cause some serious damage including cancer.

When it comes to cancer itself, i am hearing that in 5 years it will be treated like a chronic disease, like diabetes, without the debilitating side effects of chemo or radiation now.
Gene therapy which you explained earlier, is the new promising method where your white blood cells are programmed to fight your specific cancer. This is what is going to change things and make this disease treatable like diabetes.

Good to see someone like you here in this section of the forum.

I do hope so, it's such a bomb shell for many people,

I have heard some promising results already in this field, some scientists claiming all cancers could be cured within 10 years.

A doctor told me this method has already seen results of shrinking tumors from over 5cm to just 2 mm.

The problem is it's so expensive at the moment.

here's my cancer fighting chocolate cake 😋

500 grams of natural greek yogurt.
6 eggs
120 grams of blue berries
50 grams of fresh ginger peeled
16 grams of Coco powder
100 grams of walnuts
60 grams of olive oil
Some grated lemon skin of one lemon
50 grams of chia seeds.
Pinch of salt

Put the whole lot in a blender and blend until smooth about 4 mins.

Poor in to an oven proof dish and cook for 40 mins on 175 degrees Celsius.

When cooked leave to cool overnight in fridge 😋
The whole cake will be about 1500 cals, so 15 slices no probs.

Poor some vanilla flavored yogurt on top. Best to sweeten the vanilla extract.

Or what ever creamy Flavoured yogurt sauce you like.

This one's a must in the fridge 👌😋

Here you go bud check this blender out.

Basically it's so easy to clean after every use and so brilliant at making small juices or sauces

For instance slice 200 grams of ginger. Pop it in and blend for 2 mins.

Then tip the contents into a sieve place on to of jug then press down etc
You will have clear ginger liquid in 2 mins. Then disregard all the pulp.

It beats the hell out of big blenders and juicers. As Its so tiny and adaptable and a great price. So quick to clean.

You can quickly make all sorts of fresh blended drinks in mins.

I've used mine everyday for a year with no issues. 😋

There are immunotherapy trials that are free but there are still side effects associated with this treatment, which can put people off having it.

There seems to be a lot of fad diets going round but I would suppose they help support cancer recovery rather than eradicate the cancer.

It would be impossible to police every single thing you ate or were exposed to, because sometimes you eat in social situations and you cant always choose what to eat.

However there are known carcinogens to avoid in foods and chemicals to stay away from. I mean for most its obvious dont smoke cigarettes or vape but people still do it anyway and many dont stop even after they become ill.

A lot of people force others to eat meats that arent healthy for them, as they arent given a choice (children dont have a say on what food they are given for example) and there is always pressure and temptarion to do things that arent healthy or good for you

yes. i have a bunch of healing situations without help. i smashed my thumb on a concrete job once. thought it was broke. next day, no pain, no discoloration, healed, a miracle. 1 time i hurt my small finger at work. same thing, next day, totally healed. went for a walk once at a famous church with large grounds & a healing mass was going on. i didn't know it. i had a back pain, don't even know how i got it. i heard commotion going on at the church & found out about the service. the priest touched my back, said a prayer & when i stepped out of the church with 1 foot, my back pain went away & never came back. once, i had a pinched nerve in my back. i knew what it was just from people telling me they had it. said my prayers, & God took the pain from my back to my shoulder, down my arm thru the hand & gone, good bye. healed. pulled a muscle in my back once, quite bad. next day, gone, totally healed. by course, my prayers to Jesus gets the most credit.

Cancer is a bit different to broken bones and pain and pinched nerves. Those are relatively easy to heal and come right, but cancer is a different beast and its on the cellular level, its not just a bump or bruise that can be kissed or touched better.

I think poultices and baths can be overlooked as healing methods.
