True. Really the thread is targeting the termination point of these "last times", "last days".
Act 2:17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
2Ti 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Heb 1:2
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Just a friendly aside, some commentators linked the six days of creation to the six thousand years of human history. God rested on the seventh day and the seventh thousand years- the millennium. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's perhaps an interesting thought. God Bless You 
6000 years for man to labor under the influence of Satan, then a Sabbath, the Millennium under the rule of Jesus Christ and the saints. There is much more to be said about this with many scriptures to back it up but my time is limited right now.
