I quit reading the Bible with a daily news paper and my pre trib dispensational views flew out the window. I picked up a history book of events between 0 and 100 ad, and viewed the bible through the original hearers eyes and wow. I think I'm closer to a more biblical understanding of things.

That was rather pointless. I hope it made you feel better.

Christians discuss doctrine. There are disagreements. It inevitably devolves into hurling insults or ridicule.

Why?

I could be wrong on the pretrib issue. Obviously I don't think I am. But I'm not going to tell others that they are "willfully blind", "hardened to the truth", or "get thee behind me, satan" if they do not agree with me. I admit that when others do this to me, my emotions sometimes get the best of me and I respond in kind. But it doesn't do much to further the discussion.

You disagree? Fine, present your case. But if someone disagrees there's no need to get all "holier than thou" and tell them they're deceived, of the devil, whatever..... What if, God forbid, YOU are the one who is wrong? My walk is between me and God, and if I'm wrong it's Him I'll have to answer to. Yours is between you and God.

But you are willfully blind. I personally have given you enough scripture to show you the pretrib doctrine is a lie

I think that is the key. not to be biased when reading and understanding information.

I have found that if you stop for a minute and pray before study, you tend to learn more. A simple heartfelt prayer for understanding and God's wisdom and not man's. I always ask "God what did YOU intend when You gave this message to these people. Why did you send it in this form? How did they react? How does it apply for today's world? How does it apply to my life?"

sometimes I don't get all the answers I want, but I always get all the answers I need to live a godly life for God promises us this.

2 Peter 1

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

So even if we don't understand EVERYTHING, God has given us enough light and grace to walk today and we go daily for His bread and His water so that we might learn obedience, perservance and faithfulness.

Actually, I plainly see your error in how you interpret scripture concerning the trib and choose not to believe it.

P.S. No sin will inherit the Kingdom
Then nobody is going, because all men sin.

We are not saved by not sinning, we are saved by confessing and believing on the savior from sin, Jesus Christ.

That's exactly the reason that God imputed the sins of the whole world onto the body of His Son, who was made sin for us (2Cor 5:18-21), and when we believed by faith in that finished work of Calvary, we were forgiven and cleansed of all sin because all sin was taken and put away by the Lamb of God. There is not a single sin charged to our account because it was put on Christ's account and He died with our sin, was buried with our sin and resurrected from the dead without sin and raised for our justification from sin. That's the glorious gospel of His grace that has shined unto us. As a believer you should know that and praise God for that every day that you have breath.

you'll be there.
you and Jesus.
only you two were perfect.

and apparently He wasn't a Substitutionary Sacrifice. BLOTTING OUT THE SIN, providing a righteousness apart from the Law (and anything the Law could ever NOT do) for THOSE WHO BELIEVE, are born again....by the WILL OF GOD.

but you don't understand what the Bible says.

you can't tell when its discussing regenerate men vs unregenerate (saved vs lost).

after all: AREN'T YOU SO HOLY YOU'RE "WALKING IN THE SPIRIT"? while the rest of us "carnal" christians thrash around in "the flesh"?

YOU ARE A JOKE. not a 'pastor'.

a novice who should BE QUIET.

If I were the ''others'' you were talking about i would step up and tell you not to speak for me. I am not the only true believer out there, but the ''carnal'' (false convert) christians (I use the term in its most liberal since) will not inherit the Kingdom, but as Jesus said, ''only those that do the will of the Father.

... who wrote about a pretrib?
Margaret (or Mary) McDonald (or MacDonald) in Scotland around 1870 ... after having weird visions and dreams.
There's a book about it ... her experiences were totally from Satan.
Ditto for Mohammed's visions from a fake "angel Gabriel".
Ditto for Joseph Smith's whatever from a fake "angel Moroni".
Too bad nobody applies the TEST for spiritual phonies ... given in 1 John 4:1-3.
.

I totally agree. it is so sad that the church has allowed this perversion to permeate so deep into the church.

In the book of James he seems to be saying that a certain amount of tribulation is good for us. It works patience, self control, humility etc... I know in my own life tribulation forced me to realize that I need Jesus. Tribulation forced me to realize that my own ways were not cutting it. Tribulation seems to bring out your true character. The Lord doesn't seem too worried about putting us through tribulation...

God Bless You

True, and in Daniel it say the ''Great Tribulation'' is a means God uses to purify His church.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
