Why is there still bad things like deaths, pain, suffering, disabilities, illnesses, diseases and other bad unpleasant things still happening in this world today when they have been going on for so very very long and when they should have all ended forever a long time ago?

Hello and welcome to CC!

What you're wrestling with is the age-old "problem of pain". Why, if God is both good and powerful, is the world still broken?

The answer is simple but not easy to digest. God created a world that was good but had the potential to become bad. Because of Adam's sin, the world did become bad; the ground is cursed so that it causes pain and suffering rather than blessing. Further, the spiritual enemies of God taught humans many things that resulted in making things worse for humanity, and finally, humans as a group rebelled against God's directions. In short, we humans are broken, disconnected from God, and we live in a broken world.

Yet God has not stopped being both good and powerful. From the beginning He planned to redeem mankind from this broken world first through the forgiveness of sin won for us by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and secondly by the eventual destruction of this broken world and its replacement with a new world where there will be no pain or death.

In the in-between time we call our lives here on Earth, we do our part by making the world around us a little better, helping those who need help, and seeking God's intervention to keep the brokenness to a minimum. Our trust in Him welcomes His work both in our lives and our hearts. It's a cycle of increasing trust and faith that will carry you through greater challenges. God isn't finished yet, and we do well not to pass judgment on these things until He is finished. :)

God tells us within His written word that we still deal with the effects of a fallen world due to His love and patience for sinners to be saved.

In His patience, it may seem that evil, death, and suffering have won but we must never forget the eternal realms of heaven and Hell and that our lives are soulish in nature. Everything experienced now, is just a blip in perspective of eternity with God.

The current mission of God is soul salvation. Unfortunately, that means that there will be many who deny Him and do evil, often to His children.

But He promises that a day is coming soon within the reality of time compared to the eternal 6 to 10,000 years is nothing compared. He promises that as soon as the full number of people who God has foreseen come to faith, then He will return.

For the Christians today He has promised a peace that surpasses understanding, an unwavering hope, a joy that sings in suffering, and a love that warms the soul.

Everything bad comes from sin. Sin is not justice and so the innocent often suffer for the sins of another. Why are we still paying for Adam and Eve's sin??

Pain, disabilities, illnesses comes from pollution, poisoned food, dna mutations from evil typically or demons even. But it's all around all the time. It's actually a miracle how well our bodies actually work in spite of it.

This is the verse I always think of and reminds me of God. “What you meant for evil, God meant for good” (Gen. 50:20).

In other words we may suffer from Adam and eve, but we were born because of them! We are learning and growing because of it. Essentially evil is being used by God.

The problem is we don't trust easily, for everyone including God. Whereas something like being ill seems very personal to us. To God, he hates it but uses it for something else. He has already said he doesn't see us like that.

“See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are.” (1 John 3:1)

“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3
