If you have been saved through the death burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus, God's one and only Son, your spirit is already "quickened". The next step is to draw closer to Him day by day through prayer, Bible study, godly fellowship, and perhaps even occasional fasting.
The Spirit is active in us when we are focusing on and loving Jesus. The more we love and worship Jesus, the more the Holy Spirit is working in our lives. Focusing on the "Spirit" is, in my opinion, contrary to focusing on Jesus. The Holy Spirit leads us to love and worship Jesus.
If you want to be more "Spirit led", learn more about God's love for you and love Him back more. Then reflect that love to the world around you.
