So about 2 months ago I contacted the military, and asked if I could join (I do not care for the path my life has taken career wise).

I got contacted back, and they had me take the asvab and many other tests, all of which I have passed with flying colors.
I signed up as 11x which is infantry recruit. Something my mother will always try to wrap her head around.

I ask you pray for 2 things, 1, my mother because this is going to be very hard on her.
2 my relationship with Christ...

Do not waste your breath on my safety because that is of no use. :)
If God wills me to be alive or dead, it is His....

I ship within 2 weeks, I don't think I am allowed to say the exact day.

The only mistake I see is signing up in such a limited MOS.

It's better than being a gun bunny Willie. I was stuck in the motor pool in an artillery battalion with an MOS of 63B10.

Congratulations on joining the military in defense of our country. There is nothing wrong with being a grunt in combat arms. I was a warrior once too. Your ship date and reporting duty station are not secret so you are free to say when and where. I took my basic and AIT in Fort Jackson, SC. and served my entire enlistment with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. I learned a lot about life serving in the military that still serves me well today. I have never regretted my decision to join. I was involved in 3 major war exercises and had the adventure of a lifetime. May your time in the military be a learning experience and adventure as well. I commend you for this most important choice you have made and may God be with you.

I was also originally assigned to an artillery unit in Korea after AIT in Jackson. But, I was transferred to the 11th Air Assault at Benning upon my return. I think I was about the 15th man in the unit. We even had to go somewhere else to eat for awhile because the Mess wasn't yet manned.

Best move in my life. From that day on, I flew everywhere.... no more walking.

I pray that your first allegiance is to the Almighty Father and that His will be done through you. May you lead many to truth and that you truly identify the enemy always. Be a light. May the Father give your mother peace. In Yeshua's name I ask, and thank You for this.

Lord, I pray for this person and his mother to have peace. May he be effective not only in his battles for the nation but also spiritual battles for Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Thank you all for the prayers guys. :)

I am 11x more likely to be 11c than 11b, even though I would prefer B (due to my math scores).
I am shipping to fort benning on september 11th.

I understand that there is no use for an infantry man in modern society. I have held jobs from: librarian, mechanic, construction, janitor, fast food, foreman of an asphalt crew, and many more...
I have pretty much explored a lot of options i was and was not qualified for, and none of them fit.
I am hopping this fits me.
