Hello friends

My wife grew up in the cult of Mormonism and by God’s grace she was courageous enough as a teenager to question the madness that she was being made to believe and left.

She believed that by simply dropping the beliefs unique to Mormonism she would just default back to mainstream Christianity.

She has always had concerns with the trinity but recently she has become quite hostile to the concept and also quite hostile to religion broadly.

Unfortunately she recently told me that she does not consider herself a Christian anymore and has never had a salvation experience. Whilst I am devastated, I do admire her courage for not pretending to believe something that she doesn’t actually believe.

She continues to believe in God but is looking broadly for answers. Can you please pray for her to find the truth and to find the peace that she needs? She is a sweet young woman who has had a hard life and suffers from a great deal of anxiety among many other medical conditions. She really needs the assurance and stability that genuine salvation provides.

Thank you friends

"For the unbelieving husband is made acceptable to God by being united to his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made acceptable to God by being united to her Christian husband. If this were not so, their children would be like pagan children; but as it is, they are acceptable to God." 1 Corinthians 7:14

I am lifting your wife up in prayer to the Lord. My wife grew up in the RLDS church cult (similar to the cult of Mormonism) and after I received Christ through faith several years ago, I shared the gospel with my wife and she was resistant at first. Thankfully, only 3 months later my wife received Christ through faith, but it was a rough 3 months! She was defensive about her church, which she grew up in and was basically part of her heritage. One day while driving down the road, I straight up told her that Joseph Smith was a false prophet and she slammed on the brakes and got very upset! I was a little too abrasive at first when witnessing to my wife, but she could not deny the change in me or my enthusiasm for the gospel and love for the Lord.

One day while at a Christian book store, my wife noticed a book entitled, "The RLDS Church, Christian or Cult?" I encouraged her to get that book and read it. She bought it and told me that she would read it with an open mind, but no promises. She stayed up all night comparing Joseph Smith's so called Inspired Version of the Bible with the King James Version of the Bible. She had both Bibles opened up side by side on the coffee table, along with the Book of Mormon to easily make the comparisons. The author of the book was a former RLDS member but now a strong Christian who carefully pointed out the errors, contradictions and additions in the Inspired Version of the Bible, along with the contradictions and errors in the Book of Mormon. The author has a website along with the book.

Praying Jesus will break down those walls she has erected. I pray He will sooth her hurting spirit and flood her with a love for Him that will bring her to the cross. I pray for complete healing and protection against all powers that seek her spiritual destruction. In Jesus name. Amen!

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You today on behalf of the wife Sharp’s wife. She does not realize it, but she is in the midst of a spiritual battle. I want to intercede for her today. I ask that you shield her and protect her from Satan and his host of demons so that they cannot have an influence in her life. Please take the scales from her eyes, so she may see that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. If there are people in her life that Satan is using to influence her in the wrong way, I ask that the Holy Spirit speaks to her so that she can discern who these bad influencers are and decide to remove them from her life. I ask that Your Holy Spirit will work in a powerful way upon her mind so that she is attracted to Christianity and decides to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. Draw her to You before it is forever too late. I thank You for hearing this prayer and answering it. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray, Amen.

Her biggest stumbling block is that she can't trust that the bible as we have it now is the same as it was written 2000 years ago, and that Jesus is who the bible says that he said he is.

It isn't the same Bible from 2000+ years ago. There was no New Testament written when Jesus walked the land.
There was only the Jewish scrolls.

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. And his mother was told by the angel of God to name the child she would bring to life because God found favor on her to bring the word to life in the flesh, Immanuel. Meaning, God with us.

John 1, Isaiah 7, Matthew 1.

If your dear wife hears God tugging at her heart, that's The Word that is God.
We believe in God.
Not the Bible.

The Bible does not save. God does.

Since the beginning, God gives evidence of his presence in all that exists. Because everything speaks to his glory. He speaks to us in all his creation too. Romans 1.

And he's clearly speaking to your wife when all that's stopping her response is fear the latest many versions of his word are not his first words 2000 years ago.

God's words are in her heart already. If she does open a Bible God will guide her into his message. But God isn't in that book. He's in her. 😊💕
