Satan is trying to get to me!

so lately I have been doing really good and getting close to God! its just I have also been having some crazy dreams and random urges to cut. I figured out it is just Satan using my past weaknesses to try and separate me from God. So if you could pray that the dreams stop and the urges to cut go away i would really appreciate it! thanks!

Girl you got it! Rebuke that ole sucker in Jesus name, tell him to get behind you, stomp him in the ground, and dance on top of him rejoicing for you're a child of the King! Tell him "you feel that satan? that's the power and blood of JESUS! Burns really bad doesn't it, worse than what you can ever tempt me with, or put anyone in hell through!" God bless you!

Oh a side note... can't you just see ole satan, Jesus being the light, and His blood, and power burning satan so bad, and satan's all like "oh no the light, the blood, the power it burns, it burns, it burns make it stop, I'll leave this child of yours alone" (Not trying to be commical, I'm serious by the way.)

I will definitely be praying for you. Just remember that contrary to popular belief, Satan isn't big at all - The Bible says there's a consuming fire in him, so he's smaller today than he was yesterday...as since you serve Jesus, you're bigger today than you were yesterday! Remind that old devil that his fate is already sealed, as is yours for serving God through his Son.

"You can't have light without dark"

I share this, only because our struggle against the demonic is unnecessary and often caused by a lack of knowledge in Christ ("...for lack of knowledge my people parish..."). Please understand, I make no judgments here and am in prayer for you. However, I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to share with you. May you receive this with a contrite heart and willingness.

Many "alternative realities" are presented to us as we grow up and our minds become conditioned. I tried to serve the Lord nearly 20 years and all I found was myself to be a hypocrite and a failure. I was bound by my own perceptions of the truth. I believed in my belief in God. I sought God to set me free, not simply for Himself. It was as if I said, "God, I don't really want you, I want ME... but I want me freed from darkness and in your light." I came to Him because I wanted deliverance, I wanted to tell everyone, "Look what God has done for me."

I pray for the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:1-2). As long as we believe that "we cannot have light without dark" we cannot be free. We must believe the Truth, "you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free." the Truth has not changed, when once we understand it and truly believe it, we can experience the freedom that Christ died to allow us to live in. Darkness cannot exist without Light, but Light existed long before darkness. The Truth is that Christ has already given us victory over the darkness and rendered satan powerless ("...the prince of this world now stands condemned..."). All we have left to do it to realize this in momentary reality and be transformed into His likeness by the renewing of our minds.

It must also be called to attention, that affiliation with tarot cards, D&D, horoscopes, and the like has cause many humans ungodly experiences.

goth4God- i do not know you but i really have come to like you through your prayer requests and other post. i so agree with silentscript and believe what he is saying. please take anything with the occult (if you have anything like this - i am NOT saying you do) you may have out of your room and home and pray that God gives you peace. i have already prayed for you. you seem like such a great kid and i pray for the best for your life.

Lord, Be with this sister in Christ. Coming from a cutting background myself I understand how troubling it is. But we know that we are not in control and that You Oh Lord are. There is no other name that will calm the storm or quiet the callings of the past. In Jesus Christ name I pray Amen
