I will pray for you. I know exactly how you feel. I just planned a wedding in 2 short months. I think there comes a time where every bride just wants to run away and get married. I'm passing this along as God revealed it to me and it helped a ton. Your wedding day is not about dresses, favors or food. It is about a covenant that you are entering with your husband, yourself, and God. Once you realize that you will see that everything else is trivial. I hope this helps :). You can email me anytime [email protected]

Pressing on,

Jen

Hi faithful,

I'm getting married next month and I know exactly what you mean. Many times I just wanted to get it over with and became super stressed. When I usually got stressed, it was because of what someone did or didn't do or I felt things are not what I wanted. It helps to keep in mind that this day is about you and your future husband making a promise before God. As Jena said, the rest doesn't matter as long as you remember this is an event to above anything else glorify God. I hope you stop feeling this was and that God helps you look at things differently. My future sister in law told me when i got engage " remember to enjoy planning, you only get to do this once" I try to always remember this too and it makes me to at least try to enjoy it of course the only way I can do this is remembering the why of this wedding.

Congratulationg on you wedding, I hope you can see things differently and enjoy the months of planning.

God bless you.

Wow, looks like quite a few of CC users are getting married soon...Congratulations to you all!
I'm getting married next month as well. =]
So I know how you feel...I even posted a prayer request on here when all the planning was just about driving me crazy, haha.
But as the others have said, just remember the important thing-the promise you are making to God and to your future husband.
As one of my friends told me recently, don't let all the planning get you down and stress you out too much...it takes out some of the joy!
Anyways, congratulations again and blessings on you and your fiance! =]

Hey Tiff! Thanks, congrats to you and your fiace too!
I read your prayer request and I'm happy that things are going better. I was going through the same except that when I was stress I found myself getting upset at everything and anything not just mom. It really helps to keep focused on God, it's helped me wnjoy the planning so much more. I never knew planning a wedding could be so stressful. But if you stay on getting upset and stressed it does take the joy away, something you'll end up regretting when you see how beautiful everything will turn out. Because it will turn out beautiful!! Congrats again, blessings to all of you!

I wonder if you've ever been assured it's God's will that you get married? Most people jump in without ever seeking God's will. Sad.

Wow baptist thanks for the concern. Instead of assuming that we're just jumping into marriage why can't you assume the opposite. You don't know how each of us are in our relationship with God, so I think you should not be assuming things like this. Yes I'm CERTAIN is God's will that I marry this man, who has helped me grow a lot in my spiritual walk with God. God's hand has been active in this relationship since the day we met, even the way we met shows that it was God's work. I'm just saying it's to assume that we as Christians seek God's approval above everything else. And again, thanks for your concern, but don't be sad. Be happy that God has led us to the person we're supposed to be with. I'm sure we all are!
