    Pic of the week.

The difference between this and Seatbelt's 1,000 words thread is you must have taken any pictures you post. I am going to try to post a picture I have taken every week or so, but others are free to post also. Starting off with a caterpillar I found chilling in the rain this morning. I like...

    Locked & Loaded?

I saw in Jullianna's thread about rights, there was mention of firearms. So I figured I'd start a new thread, as I didn't want to derail Jullianna's thread. (That's actually a lie, I desperately wanted to derail it, I just didn't want her to wax my legs :D) I wanted to hear from the folks...

A special cultural announcement for my Indian brothers and sisters.

I read recently that it is considered polite and commonplace in India to ask someone you just meet questions such as, "How much do you weigh?" and, "How much money do you make at your job?" I have heard a few ladies from the USA complain that men often ask them such questions in the chat...

    Fun Bible Search Quiz!

I didn't write this, I saw it in a church bulletin a few years ago. Enjoy! I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu, kept people looking so hard for facts. For some people it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not...

    scents and sensibility.

Our sense of smell is powerfully linked to memories. Many people can distinctly recall the smell of something from an event that happened many years ago. I have an unusual nose, evidently. I love the smell of marigold and tomato plants, but I hate the smell of most peonies. What about...

You Should Have More Respect For Your Elders!

...Or should you? I have heard this mentioned before, but is it Biblical? I'm sure we can all agree that we shouldn't unquestioningly follow an older person off of a cliff, what do you think was meant by respecting elders?

The story of Abimelech, for the ladies!

Many of you probably know this story, but for anyone who doesn't, I enjoyed the poetic justice, and thought I'd share it. The story starts in the 9th chapter of Judges. Abimelech was a wicked king who rose to power by killing his brothers, a sort of coup, it would appear. We pick up at...

    Threads Per Week Limit.

What does everyone think of limiting the number of threads started by any one person to say, two a day, or ten a week, etc.? Some of the forums get plugged up with threads that makes them harder to navigate and runs others' threads off the front page very quickly. Any thoughts?
