What is your point? Do you even know what the words mean? And a false message is still a false message whether spoken by Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, you, me or anyone.
We're baptized into Christ as the scriptures clearly say. It's the only way according to scripture that you can become a part of the body of Christ; not by belief, not by faith, not by repentance, but by water immersion.
The only way to know that you know Christ is if you've been saved and have become part of his body, the church, and the way that happens is by being baptized into Christ. And, one of his commandments coincidentally IS to believe and be baptized to be saved. Mark 16: 15-16
Acts 2:38. Upon baptism into Christ you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And, 1 Peter 3:19 clearly says that by the Spirit he preached unto the spirits in prison as I reiterated to gill.
1 Peter 3:18-19
"18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might...
Understanding 1 Peter 3:19 (Pertinent scriptures below)
Who are the "spirits in prison", in 1 Peter 3:19, and the "dead" in 1 Peter 4:6?
First, you must understand the word "spirits" (pneumasin in the Greek) in 1 Peter 3:19 and the use of this word as opposed to 'soul' (psyches in the Greek)...
And you are not reading it correctly at all. Paul didn't write Hebrews to himself, he wrote it to tge newly converted Hebrews addressing their issues not his. And there obviously was a danger of backsliding and returning to their old ways and beliefs and thus denying Christ. Read the letter in...

Salvation is initially being saved from the sins you've committed, not those you may commit in the future.
How are you saved according to scripture?
When you put ALL pertinent scriptures together...
You are not reading or understanding the scripture correctly. Baptism has nothing at all to do with cleansing flesh, that's what it means in the part that's in parenthesis. Baptism washes sin not flesh and sin is a stain against your soul not your body. So yes, Peter is NOT making a reference...
No problem with Romans, or Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Mark 16:15-16, and a whole lot of other scriptures that add other requirements to Romans. What part of them do YOU have a problem with? All them apparently, in their entirety.
You shouldn't rely solely on one translation. I personally like and use the kjv, but recognize there are some flaws in it. I also go back to the original language text for clarity such as found in the interlinear.
People haven't found the blatently obvious messages let alone secret ones. Concentrate on gospel truth which most have yet to find, and seeking and saving the lost. That's what's important, not 'secret messages'.
