Is this enough to be believing in Jesus?

I don't know why believing he is real wouldn't be enough as long as you don't deny anything about him. John 3:16 King James Version 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. If I'm not...

Is this enough to be believing in Jesus?

What all do you have to do then? Why would not believing he is real be enough? It just says you have to believe in him.

Is this enough to be believing in Jesus?

Is believing Jesus is real enough to be believing in him as it would be taken from John 3:16? I ask because I think I might be a little slow in the uptake, like I read things in the Bible that have to do with Jesus but I have trouble retaining those things. Is it enough to just believe he is real?

How can someone be sure that they believe in Jesus?

And are not just doing some mental thing trying to believe in him? Sorry if that doesn't make sense. Hopefully someone understands.

Some questions about things in Revelation 12

What makes you think it's something that happens in the future and not something that already happened?

Some questions about things in Revelation 12

Just curious about this: in Revelation 12 is it saying the war in heaven already happened? Also is it saying that at some point in the past the Devil accused people before the throne of God? So at some point in the past the Devil was before God accusing people and now he can no longer be in...

When did the Apostles receive the Holy Ghost?

There does appear to be a difference in what is being said.

When did the Apostles receive the Holy Ghost?

What is happening in Luke 24:49? I guess they aren't receiving the Holy Ghost?

When did the Apostles receive the Holy Ghost?

Luke 24:49 King James Version 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. John 20:21-22 King James Version 21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so...

Do Satan and his angels still have access to heaven?

Do you have a verse or verses that show this? 1 Peter 5:8 says this: 1 Peter 5:8 King James Version 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: I think that might mean that he is on the earth.

    A reasonable question

Well that verse says there's no truth in Satan, so unless I'm wrong somehow, he always lies. Whether that was true of Satan when the events of Job happened I don't know though.

It was the verse I just posted. Oops.

    A reasonable question

If I recall correctly it was Satan who said there was a hedge around Job. This may or may not have been true. I think there is a verse in the Bible that says there is no truth in Satan, if that was the case during the time of Job when Satan said what he said then there was in fact no hedge...

    A reasonable question

I think it's referring to -the beginning- like the beginning of creation.

    A reasonable question

Yes, Satan was fallen at that point. It says he was a murderer from the beginning, so he has been fallen since the beginning.

    A reasonable question

John 8:44 King James Version 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Do Satan and his angels still have access to heaven?

So "high places" doesn't refer to heaven?

Do Satan and his angels still have access to heaven?

Do Satan and his angels have access to heaven still? In Revelation 12 it looks like they might have already fought Michael the archangel, "neither was their place found any more in heaven" but it says in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities...

Do people who don't know about Jesus have much of a chance?

Not sure, I guess I didn't consider those things. I think joshuaproject.net might track unreached people groups.
