You're very wrong confirmed by such verses as Acts 5:12, Acts 6:6-8, Acts 8:9-19, Acts 19:6, and 2 Tim 1:6. Read them carefully. The apostles only had the power from on high to bring about the manifestations of the Spirit by the laying on of their hands.
