Look. Nascar is like conducting a race on a tightrope. Driving this to the victory lap without any scratches on it takes a lot of skill.

    Secular Music

That music possesses a cathartic characteristic implies its power to purify. The Greek word translated "pure" is katharos sometimes used to describe the cleansing of a wound (catharsis). So it would seem to me that, depending on whether a song is sung in protest or in celebration of wrong, that...

Did Jesus Have an Advantage over Pre-Fall Adam During the Incarnation?

So, perhaps the ultimate conclusion to the question of the OP is, then, the advantage of the Holy Spirit. I wonder if Adam had the Holy Spirit or failed to acknowledge Him or was even aware of Him?

Did Jesus Have an Advantage over Pre-Fall Adam During the Incarnation?

My use of bad grammar there came from wondering whether I should write "by Whom He worked through" or "of Whom worked through Him".. I'm not sure it matters since no one can do anything without the other (or is either one?).

Did Jesus Have an Advantage over Pre-Fall Adam During the Incarnation?

Jesus said that He was the light of the world while He was in the world and followed that with the concept of night coming where no one can work which I believe is alluding to his death so when He said, "we must do the work of Him who sent Me while it is yet day" I gather He was speaking of...

Did Jesus Have an Advantage over Pre-Fall Adam During the Incarnation?

As a matter of fact, I was just now looking at John 9:4 and noticed the first-person singular "I" translated as "We" in "While it is daytime, We (capitalization mine) must do the work of Him who sent Me..." in the context of Jesus healing the man born blind.

There's nothing wrong with discussing the meaning behind the painting but, still, it is only a representation of a reality in a place that cannot be conveyed into any other. For example, many can know what the falls in Niagra look like through a photograph but only those that actually visit them...

There is influence upon the etymology of "believe" from the West Germanic word *ga-laubon "to hold dear, esteem, trust" (sourced also of Old Saxon gilobo, Middle Dutch gelove, Old High German giloubo, German Glaube), from *galaub- "dear, esteemed" from intensive prefix *ga- + PIE root *leubh-...

What do we mean by “Calling?”

There was a time that the term was used in the context of courting, as to say it went something like, "John had called on miss Mary, and she graciously received him, and he subsequently chose her for his bride."

I like to think I'm a dandelion, Taraxacum, floating my puff upon the gales of hot wind that blow about ever so oft in the tulip fields of CC. God called Jonah to rescue the Ninevites from destruction, and even though Jonah hated them he did as God bade him to do and sulked about it later. Did...

Perhaps the qualifier "unrepentant" might provide you the clue. That is, if the only way to the Father is through Jesus, but one does not repent, which essentially involves turning back to God, but they try to go by any way but the only way... then what is there to wonder about if they end up lost?

Did Jesus Have an Advantage over Pre-Fall Adam During the Incarnation?

Jesus trusted God in everything. His statement, '...but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD" reflects back to Deuteronomy 8:3's reference to the manna that fed the Israelites in the desert. Jesus is the personification of faith in God.
