    Lord of the Rings

I have grown up with and always loved the books. I have never seen them as anything other than a work of fiction. The same is true of the Chronicles of Narmia. The intent of the author is what counts in this case, I think.

    Prayer request for my brother

Praying for your brother. If it helps, I had family who were involved in the JW so I have a little experience in dealing with cults. Its a painful process to get them out of that and to reprogram them. Only God can deliver people.

Should not Christians be the most sensitive and compassionate?

Definitely not salvation issues but they are an indicator of where we stand with Christ. If we say we love him, do we love the things he loves?

Should not Christians be the most sensitive and compassionate?

    Pastor James Coates in Edmonton

It seems the secular world only agrees with the separation of church and state when it suits them. What business does the government have in interfering in the running of a church, pandemic or none? This is a classic example of government overreach and it will continue to get worse in the...

Why did the Most High God create sin?

God never created sin because sin is not a material thing that can be created. Sin is a product of the evil that is within the human heart. God wills evil to exist (for a time and a season) in order to bring about His plans and purposes. So great is His love for us that He would allow us to make...

Was Justice Served For George Floyd?

One thing I will say is that God hates the guilty to go free and the innocent to be punished. He alone knows if this man was indeed guilty. If he was, then he deserved to go to jail. You'd be a fool not to view as part of a much larger issue within American society though. If a sitting jury can...

Isaiah 5:25 Therefore the LORD's anger burns against his people; his hand is raised and he strikes them down. The mountains shake, and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
