I would love to see a forum where parents of teens/adult homosexual children can get together for Christian support and fellowship. Often, Christian parents are in a place where they feel so alone in this battle, when they need more support and prayer than ever. Sharing stories, ideas, and offering Godly strength, wisdom, and support in this is essential. I know many Christians avoid this issue out of their own repulsion to this sin, but there are real Christian parents who are suffering with this very thing. I could really use this, and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there who can too.:D

Why don't you start a chat group about it and invite people to join? There are lots of ppl here who either are, or were gay, or know someone who is.

I do know plenty of solid biblically based CHRISTIAN folk who have gay members in their families, including my own. I Find that chatting about it with other CHRISTIANS comes to ONE conclusion: Being gay is a chosen agenda, not GOD formed, ordained or blessed. Same sex partners, united in an earthly sanctioned marriage, is NOT what JESUS CHRIST and His Father blesses in heaven and rejoices over. Am I wrong?
IF a true, holy spirit filled CHRISTIAN thinks for one moment that GOD accepts practicing gays to be part of Paradise, something is wrong and misinterpreted. Yes, GOD forgives, cleanses and accepts former gays , as HE does all sinners, to be with HIM in eternity. However, it is extremely presumptuous to think that GOD blesses and offers a mansion to gay activists who salute a rainbow flag while trying to claim being washed under a blood soaked banner of love from JESUS CHRIST. That goes for All peoples, even within my own DNA family. I can share CHRIST, love, and reflect JESUS to them, but ultimately, they choose their own eternity by their own actions.

Hi! Thank you for sharing. :) I also know plenty of biblically based CHRISTIAN folk who have gay members in their family, my own included. It's sad that the warring continues even amongst them. Those who are Christian in the family insist they "chose" to be gay, and those who are gay insist they "didn't", so I guess it all depends on who you are asking. Whether a person chooses to be gay or not is irrelevant to the fact that homosexuality not what God intends for us.....it is part of the sinful nature of man, and each of us has our own sin/sinful inclinations that need to be dealt with one-to-one with a loving God who wants to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So now God has placed me in a position where I have a gay child...and believe me, it was something so unexpected, and it hurts to the core. I grieved. I prayed. I missed countless hours of sleep...and now I have to lean on the Lord more than ever, to respond to my own child in both truth and grace. My love for my son is unconditional of his homosexuality. He NEEDS to know that, because he NEEDS to know the love of God. That's the very thing he has a hard time comprehending, and I'm glad he's been open about that. So now I find myself saying, "Lord, Here am I, send me", and each day he is working within and around me more than ever. The journey is hard. My son needs the love and forgiveness of Christ. He needs to understand that sin is real, heaven is real, and hell is real...and above all, God is real AND God loves him. My job is not to judge him or any other homosexual for that matter. This does not mean I agree with homosexuality, it means that I have to learn to love him as God does despite the fact that he is homosexual. Homosexuals are lost souls who need more than ever to see Christ reflected through Christians, instead, many see rejection, fighting, warring, anger, and hatred....and they end up responding no differently. This is where God has placed me at this time in my life. Not everyone is given the same tasks or has the same gifts, or has the same willingness for reaching out to "untouchable" groups. We need to pray....really pray for our children...our family...our friends...our neighbors...and we need to be equipped...really equipped with the armor of God to bring the gospel of peace to another lost generation.
