or even better still have it so you can turn the sound on and off while in the chat.
I listen to music a lot when chatting and sometimes dont want to hear people talk aswell, but have to log out to turn it off, and then have to log back on and restart any Private chats have going....Im lazy as you can see

I have never understood why people can't do this. I have always been able to turn my sound on and off while im in chat, and I can even sign in with my sound already off if I want to. Why wouldn't I be able to? I have heard people say they have to log on and off to change the volume, and have just wondered if they didn't know how to use their volume function...but induibitably it seems it is a problem many of you are having. Weird! Maybe it's 'cos I'm on a laptop or something, but I have a volume mute button on my keyboard, and 99% of the time I have my sound off. I don't like sound!!
