So I've been struggling with a question today and I came up with a verse that put it all in perspective I could comprehend and get. Before I start this speel I do not for a moment claim to completely understand God for a finite being to understand a infinite mind is impossible but I understand why he is good. Anyway I came from the comment section on Job (youtube bible video) rather distraught (Ps avoid the comment section on any biblical video for your own sanity lol) but one person said he was pretty much disgusted in the way God treated Job (like he can judge an almighty being "Atheist Logic"lol) anyway I went to a christian site and it explained why God was still good but I had my doubts until I remembered a Term "God the Author" Now being an Author myself it suddenly made sense. If I where to kill a character in my book or even have a character in my book destroy a whole city I wouldn't be a murderer for it (Yes this is oversimplifying but like I said Im not an Infinite being lol) Of course the key difference is well I dont intimately care about my creation in the way God does so the fact he can do this to a character who so loves (I can understand a little since I don't like killing key characters off) makes him even more amazing that he's willing to put himself through that torment but at the same time be happy with the final product that death produces. And even more amazing he's not just an author he's intimately incorporated in his book and even reaches outside the book to send his own Son in to untimately be sacrificed to save his creation....it blows me away. As dedicated as a writer I do not think I would sacrifice a family member to save my book lol And well I know its overly simplified and I may have gotten key points wrong Im just saying this helped me get a little closer to God :) So I will worship our most wonderful writer.
