On the way to a high school reunion I prayed that the light of the Lord would shine through me and people would see Him and not me. A few weeks passed and I saw someone I was never friends with in high school. The Lord led me to speak to her and I didn't really know what to expect. She immediatly said she had hoped to see me again and started sharing personal details of her life, saying that she never shares these things with people but there was something about me that let her know she could trust me. She said that she noticed me at the reunion and was hoping to run into me because there was something about me that she said she wanted to know more about. She said I just looked so happy. She wanted to know why.

That was all Jesus! My life, my day to day existance, is not something anyone would brag about. I am divorced, heartbroken, jobless and broke. But everyday, I smile because the Holy Spirit in me allows His love to encompass my heart and fill me with His joy. I could complain about ever aspect of life and how hard things are, but I don't. I am of the mind that God is in control and life is about Him and not me. I just ask Him daily to be used by Him for His glory.

This person has been coming closer to the Lord since I was able to testify to her, not because of me, but because God allowed me to be used by Him.

I'm thankful to God for all he does and am always amazed at how He works.

Thats a lovley story. I too would love people to see me shine with the lord. I think that when are happy that the lord is with us, we have a inner strenght and see things in a different light. I felt abit upset yesterday in the supermarket becasue I saw all thses women doing excerises, I had to go in a a scooter becasue I have a bad foot. But today I feel like the lord is saying I am with you. I feel we have to go through tough times to learn to lean on jesus. Its great that we have love in our hearts also. I wish you lots of happiness and well done! Love Mandy xx

Amazing, and very inspiring. God works in wondrous and mysterious ways. I pray all the time for it to be God's way, God's will and not my own. (I am a bit stubborn) so all I can say is AMEN and praise God

Oh my goodness, Cozy, please, don't anyone take this the wrong way, but, what a pretty lady you are! It's strange to have all of these chat buddies without knowing what they may look like, and finally see their pics and find out that their beauty surpasses the spiritual!!!
