This is just a small thing, but -actually it's not small at all actually- but God had moved dad to commit to a certain tithe amount. Well, God just provided that amount times ten. God is good.

Define "tithe".

I should rephrase, I wasn't sure how to word it, but he wanted to give an offering towards missions and the Holy Spirit laid the amount on Daddy's heart. Dad basically put an IOU and has been working on getting it. And God responded with providing 10 times the amount.

Wording things can challenging! Heck, so can spelling!

You went from "tithe" to "offering".

What up whit dat? Don't think what he gave fit the definition of a tithe?

oh my, yes, when we are in dire straights and are literally 'broke', our Heavenly Father
reveals to us the un-told ways, which, by the way are endless, that we can/how to 'tithe'
with what ever we have at hand in order to help others...:)it's all about Jesus' Love...

It wasn't his 10% of his income, it was an offering God put on his heart. He hadn't gotten the money yet when he had made the decision to dedicate that amount.

Thanks for the clarification, Steph.

Thanks for sharing that he received enough to fulfill his offering and had extra. :)

That is why tithing is a spirit lead thing not an obligated thing:)
