Some reassuring signs. We had some welcome rain here the other evening with thunder. And spiritually, I was helped. I was beginning to lapse in discipline, and go to a Hawaiian beach website to watch waves and other ocean scenery, which can be risky behavior considering the variety of internet distractions.

Simple lapses in discipline can seem trivial. But when I considered temptation, an instantaneous image from above appeared briefly of a being which was meant to remind me to obey the Lord. I was briefly distracted again, and a few more heavenly beings momentarily appeared in a mental image meant again, with patient insistence, to remind me to obey the Lord.

The previous day, I was still having difficulty concentrating, with my mind meandering, and too much indifference, kind of mentally stalled out.

I had a momentary image of who I believed was the Lord, after I had asked for help to pray. He assertively pointed to my camp chair, insistently inviting me, it seemed, to just sit and listen quietly, which I was able to do for several minutes.

Sometime afterwards, I think the same day, I said, what should I do today? I heard the quiet reply, "go help your brother." I have several brothers, so did not know who, or how. But by offering to help, this simple gesture seemed to open the floodgates, with a loud thunder and downpour of rain. A suffering brother said about the thunder, above the roar of the rain,
"MUST BE GOD!"
And many people were helped in some way.
Just by showing up.

And today, I had another teary breakdown and reminder that I have caring friends offering to help and faithful prayers when someone feels too overwhelmed to pray on their own.

It does make a difference. Teamwork.
Life goes on- court, medical appointments, financial assistance for housing.
