70 AD is the date for the destruction of the Temple in Jeruselum. The defeat of the Harlot Babylon, the consumation of the wedding Feast of Christ and the Church in HEAVEN, when the 1000 years began with Satan bound

If you read Revelation 19 it talks about the marriage feast then the war with Satan, the beast and the false prophet with the end being that ALL flesh will be destroyed. ON Earth

If you read Revelation 20 you see people resurrected and reigning with Jesus in HEAVEN then Satan gathering people for war and Jesus destroying them all.

Throughout Revelation you see the Saints, the multitudes with Jesus.

Even in the Gospels the bodies of the saints are resurrected after Jesus rose from the dead. God is able to take people and move them from one place on Earth to another. see the story of Philip. He is also able to raise them to reign with Him in Heaven if He judges them worthy.

The "Rapture"or first resurrection is not the "great day of the Lord".

It is just what happens when God decides to give people immortal glorified bodies and places them in Heaven next to Him. Is this a one time event? No its not even just a NT event. Have you not read of Enoch and Elijah? What about Moses? where was the archangel Michael taking his body when he rebuke Satan?

What of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? when Jesus says that God is not God of the dead but the living, it implies they are living when He speaks this.

why do people believe the first resurrection is a single event?

John 11:24-26
New King James Version (NKJV)
24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
