yes, the Sprit does teach us,but one issue that there is with that is this:we are to test the spirts.the Bible must be the final word.no one likes to say this, but people are often wrong.this is one of the biggest problems with the Church: people just take someone's word for things, and they don't study the Word.
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16)

4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' " (Matthew 4:4)

35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), (John 10:35)

27 For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. (Acts 20:27)

If there are differences of opinion, how are we to "speak the same thing?" How can there be "no divisions among [us]?" How are we to be "perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment?" How are we to "keep the unity of the spirit?" How are we to be "of one mind?" How are we to "stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel?" How are we to be "like-minded," "of one accord, and" "of one mind?" How are we to be "of the same mind?" How are we to "hear each other?" For it is by "hear[ing] each other" that "we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, came to the earth and taught us. These teachings are found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. If all Christians obeyed these teachings, perhaps we would be unified.

As far as I can tell, we are unified, and that is what scripture says.

Thank you all for your posts.

To those who believe that all of Christianity is unified, what is your definition of unification? Or do you believe that there are only several thousand or less true Christians?
