I watched a video on YouTube claiming the devil, as the prince of the power of the air, and witches taking part in black magic are responsible for weather alterations and outbreaks on some level. Indeed, it may be likely that the governments of the world are manipulating natural processes through HAARP or other secret programs, however, aren't we being foolish if we deny that some of these events from hurricanes to earthquakes and severe outbreaks are a holy God's just judgments towards wickedness and a warning for others to repent before it is too late? Or is God not behind these events? I personally disagree with the premise of the video, but I am not an expert by any means. I do think there are governments trying to play God and dark occultist practices going on, but some of these natural disasters are indeed the wrath of a holy and righteous God against a sinful nation, right?

Well, there's several factors involved in weather formation. However, I will admit lately there is a higher than normal number of coincidences ...
This website documents daily political news in correlation to weather paterns, which I find interesting: White House & World News

The term "whirlwind" is used several times in scripture, which means literally... "Definition: a storm, tempest, whirlwind."
Taking as just one example...
And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. -Zechariah 9:14

We also know that plagues were sent to Egypt, and other solid evidence that God punishes continual evil doers.

It is also interesting to note that man left to his own devices can do a lot of damage too. Taking for example the Geoengineering movment.
(Interesting documentary on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf0khstYDLA )
Related topics:
Artificial Clouds That Could Stop Climate Change Receive Investment From Bill Gates

Either way sin could be a related topic, man following man destroys himself, as well as God's intervention/judgment when man does evil.

This is definitely and interesting subject matter I have pondered as well. :)

Severe weather could be a form of warning or judgment. I believe God controls the weather. He can calm the storm, and He can cause it to rain.

Health experts warn of water contamination from California drought

By Sharon Bernstein
SACRAMENTO, Calif. Tue Feb 18, 2014 10:48pm EST

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Feb 18 (Reuters) - California's drought has put 10 communities at acute risk of running out of drinking water in 60 days, and worsened numerous other health and safety problems, public health officials in the most populous U.S. state said on Tuesday.
Rural communities where residents rely on wells are at particular risk, as contaminants in the groundwater become more concentrated with less water available to dilute them, top state health officials said at a legislative hearing on the drought.
"The drought has exacerbated existing conditions," said Mark Starr, deputy director of the California Department of Public Health.
The state has helped about 22 of 183 communities identified last year as reliant on contaminated groundwater to bring their supplies into conformance with environmental guidelines, but the rest are still building or preparing to build systems, he said.
The contamination warning comes days after President Barack Obama announced nearly $200 million in aid for the parched state, including $60 million for food banks to help people thrown out of work in agriculture-related industries as farmers leave fields unplanted and ranchers sell cattle early because the animals have no grass for grazing.
The California Farm Bureau estimates the overall impact of idled farmland will run to roughly $5 billion, from in direct costs of lost production and indirect effects through the region's economy.
Last month, Democratic Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency, as reservoir levels dipped to all-time lows with little rain or snow in the forecast.
On Tuesday, the state's top public health officials said they were targeting 10 communities for immediate relief, trucking in water when necessary and helping to lay pipes connecting residents with nearby public water systems.
Worst hit is the small city of Willits in the northern part of the state, public health director Ron Chapman said. Also targeted for priority help included tiny water systems throughout the state, one so small it serves 55 people in a community listed simply as Whispering Pines Apartments.
"Small drinking water systems are especially vulnerable to drought conditions," the public health department said on its website. "They have fewer customers, which can mean fewer options in terms of resources like funding and infrastructure."
STAGNANT POOLS, CONTAMINATED WELLS
Linda Rudolph, co-director for the Center for Climate Change and Health in Oakland and a former state health official, said millions of Californians rely on wells and other sources of groundwater where the concentration of contaminants is growing because of dry conditions.
"Many groundwater basins in California are contaminated, for example with nitrates from over application of nitrogen fertilizer or concentrated animal feeding operations, with industrial chemicals, with chemicals from oil extraction or due to natural contaminants with chemicals such as arsenic," Rudolph said.
In addition, as dry conditions turn ponds and creeks into stagnant pools, mosquitos breed, and risk increases for the diseases they carry, she said at the hearing. Residents with asthma and other lung conditions are also at risk as dry conditions create dust.
The state's firefighters put out 400 blazes during the first three weeks of January, normally the state's wettest season and its slowest for wildfires, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
"We are experiencing conditions right now that we would usually see in August," its website quoted Chief Ken Pimlott as saying. (Editing by Richard Borsuk

I will be watching California closely because if it don't get rain between now & wildfire season, it will be T-O-A-S-T. Let not forget that this is the state that sponsored sexual immorality nationwide with Hollywood films and its pornographic industry. This the same state that launched an attack against God's institution of marriage with same sex marriages and feminism. It is the same state that had the largest groups & numbers of satanic worshippers in the nation. Is this just a warning or God unleashing His wrath onto California? We will know very soon.

Yes i remember when California first approved same sex marriage. Fires were starting up all over the place.
I was really disappointed when Obama approved it. We sure need to be praying for our country as well as others.

I believe this is just bible prophecy fulfilling itself and the Lord will pour out His judgments against those who continually defy Him. We can only pray and prepare for the Lord.

Actually, we have been having severe weather outbreaks since we have had weather (seasons). Our environment experiences seasonal changes every year. These changes, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall produce various weather patterns that effect our environment. In case one is wondering if the "outbreaks" are growing worse, one might be well served to remember that at one time the earth was in the grasp of an Ice Age. Not for nothing, but that is a fairly serious "weather outbreak" in my opinion. Folks can read into it what they will, but I don't think we should try to read too much into it..........

these severe storms/tornado outbreaks only seem worse now cause of the technology we have today. if a tornado strikes say Little Rock, the entire world knows about it as soon as it happens. 100 years ago it would have taken a long long time for the world to know and good chance most people wouldnt even know it happened.

Please forgive me if I'm wrong but I feel compelled to ask if my thinking is correct..If God uses severe weather systems (for example) to cast judgement on peoples wickedness, then everyone stands before God...isn't that double jeopardy? I haven't really looked into this much, I probably should before asking but I'm asking on impulse here.

...........no........... God corrects those He loves all the time......... As for various weather events.......one can gain some understanding from reading the 37th Chapter of Job......

right, not saying that God can't do whatever he pleases with the weather because he can, but the media coverage of these events make them seem worse than they are. we just had an ice storm here in Georgia, and if you watched the news a few days before, you would have thought the Tribulation was starting. now it was bad and there was some folks without power for a few days, but not anywhere near as bad as the media made it out to be.

God uses man and governments to execute his judgments throughout the Bible with all kinds of warfare and oppression. If nations are using technology to change weather then it seems like its just a new form of warfare.
