I wasn't aware that sharing one's beliefs or opinions was being an 'hypocrite'...
It's about judging others and you know it, so don't pretend you don't get the meaning.

I think we are missing the point here. The point is that homosexuality is a sin, outlined in Gods word as detestable, and abomination. Yes the constitution gives us freedoms and rights, but it is MAN-made....not made by God, because anything that man can create can be perverted. I can't judge anyone on what they choose, that is their life, but I know what the Word of God tells me is wrong, and homosexuality is wrong. But I also know this, if they come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, they will not want to live in that kind of lifestyle anymore. Christ changes all and He makes things right.

God doesn't condone a lot of things but people are still going to do it. You can't legislate morality. That's between them and God. Again if I wanted a theocracy I would move to Saudi Arabia

we're not and do not 'pretend' about anything - that sinful act of our lives was over-come
many years ago through much 'trial and error' in our growth and maturity in Christ...

judgment never entered into our response...what does this say
about your 'discernment' of the hearts of two people who you don't even know, or
obviously don't care to know???

Jesus instructed his disciples to go out and preach the gospel but he never instructed them to force Christianity on anyone. People will either accept it or they want. Keep it moving

You are taking the verse that is frequently taken out of context and saying that it what it means by not judging. That is not what Jesus is saying this is what that verse says in context.

Matthew 7:1-5

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

It is not about judging others and we as Christian know it, you do not. He is not pretending he does not get the meaning, you do not get the meaning. Thanks. God bless. :)

Not in a public government meeting or any public place.
I was escorted out of a city council meeting for speaking against it.
I was escorted out of a school board meeting for speaking against it.
I was escorted out of a Walmart for speaking against it.
Let me explain-------

City council meeting to approve zone change to allow gay bar in strip center where kids gathered in video arcade.
I voiced concern for the kids exposed to a perverted lifestyle and quoted Scripture.
Was told I was out of order and could not quote or read from Bible to support my position.
When I objected, I was escorted out.

School board meeting----
Parents objected to a teacher promoting gay marriage in classroom as normal.
As in the city council meeting, I expressed my belief that the teacher should be fired and again quoted Scripture.
As before, I was called out of order, told that quoting Scripture was not allowed, and when I objected, I was escorted out.

Walmart---
I was discussing what the Scripture says about homosexuality with another customer when a homosexual man jumped into the conversation screaming and calling us names and using profanity. I told him to back off but he refused.
We were all escorted out.

We have reached the place where only those who are politically correct have freedom of speech.

It comes down to being outnumbered, not being backed by the media, entertainment industry, and what is politically correct. They have the support of the mob and also the "moral" high ground on the issue because they do not recognize The Most High.

Our own ranks like dude also have removed themselves from the count or even side with the opposition. All I can suggest is moving to a "backwards" area where the people haven't been corrupted by society's influence yet.

sounds to us like 'Ells' is definitely moving 'forward' and not partaking of the bazzarness
of this 'wicked-world, but is actually taking an Holy Stand for His Maker, whom he
obviously Loves and serves...

I pretty much moved of the grid when I retired in 2006.
I live 16 miles from town and only go shopping 2 or 3 times a month.
I drive 50 miles one way to church on Sundays.
But when I do interact with people, they know who I am, the God I serve, and what I believe.

Um... this re-enforces don't judge others. I fail to see how this means anything else. Please feel free to explain.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

1st ammendment

The United States is secular therefore the bible cannot be used as the basis for government laws and policy. Since we only have your version of events I have to question what else was said or what happened before or after. They were actually correct in that the bible cannot be used as a basis for law, so I fail to see what your basis was for objection. Regardless I have a hard time believing you just said your piece and were escorted out when you politely objected to their response. Were you aggressive? Shouting other people down? Me thinks maybe.

The only place her I mostly have your back is Wal-Mart. If you were having a private conversation and some guy jumped in just because he didn't like your views he was absolutely in the wrong. If you were all escorted out then I imagine your error was getting into a shouting match. You should have just ignored him and let him get the heat for causing trouble.

Keep in mind Wal-Mart is not a free speech zone and have no requirements by law to serve anyone. Were I the manager I would have asked the guy who instigated it to leave. But then again I am also very libertarian socially and don't care what other believe enough to ask them to leave.

It makes sense why, what I am not sure about is why it makes no sense to you.

So tell me about the time before, when you loved and accepted homosexuals, and then you read the Bible and you were converted, loveless about and against homosexuals.

Does it exist, or was it simply your own view from the start, probably passed down to you by traditional thinking?

Well good luck with the fight, because this generation has changed. Yes I know, the end is nigh, it's a sign of the end etc etc. You know people who think that (and they have always existed) are simply people who don't like change. They say 'oh life was much better, people were more decent in the past'. But at the same time, those people are only remembering the good, they don't remember the bad.

This guy accepts gnostic material that undermines or rejects The Bible as doctrine. He has created his own liberal version of Christianity using whatever outside material he and the world agree with. Pay him no mind.

Their view of God was interesting. God being The All, kind of like the container, ineffable, unidentifiable. I can understand why they might say the God of the OT was an archangel. Doesn't sound like the God I know either.

It's almost like, God is Love, God is Evil, depending on which side you take. But since Jesus was more about love, people who follow the old God and not love, are not truly Christian.

To me, the New Testament was a replacement of the Old Testament, as a fulfilment of the law. But to many you have to see both as equally important. I somehow find that hard to observe, as do many intelligent scholars who observe the differences.

And yet if you are firmly Old Testament version of God, you will totally agree in cutting down the enemy. Which is no different from Islamic terrorism
, except you aren't acting on it (albeit just words?).

Or maybe I have not got to the point of the Old Testament yet. Maybe you are going to tell me that in contrast to the New Testament, these were devil worshippers? Because if you say it is all God, well tell me why the God of the OT and NT are different?? Can you explain that?

My God, is a God of Love. I don't know what yours is.

I think most of us are just plain sick of the gay agenda being shoved down our throats. been going on here in the states since the mid-90's. and, I for one, have never " been o.k. " with that lifestyle. while I pray for them, and do not dislike them, in no way do I support that choice.
