The Gospel is the story of Jesus from birth to ressurection. All that He did and said. That is the Gospel. The Four Gospel accounts are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Gospel is what Jesus did. It is good news.

I have a walnut, with a slot in it. A ribbon sticks out of the slot. As you pull the ribbon out of the nut it goes thru several color changes. We sing a little song as we pull the ribbon from the walnut.

Color of Ribbon Words of Song
========== =========

Black My heart was black with sin, untill the savior came in.
Red His precious Blood I know,
White Has washed me white as snow. & in His Word I'm told.
Gold I'll walk the streets of Gold. What a wonderful, wonderful day!
When He washed my sin away!

There, you have it, in a nutshell!!! So simple a child can understand it!!
& I did at about 4 years old!!! Blessings Mark!

John 15/15: Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you freinds :); for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made KNOWN unto you.

I was a servant until 42 years of age, my faith in Christ was then Confirmed in The Father's written WORD, TORAH  over a period of study, prayer and sharing.

Now to me, Faith, Beleif, Hope just don't seem relavent, (NOT that there is anything wrong with Faith; In Christ :)) as i KNOW that ultimately, Every little thing IS gonna be Alright

DON"T WORRY! BE HAPPY :)

TRUST in The Father, In & Through the ONE HE sent.

CHRIST/MESSIAH

Forever in Christ :)

The Lord Jesus' perfect, all powerful, sacrifice of Himself on the cross for us, to cleanse all our sins. His taking of God's wrath onto Himself and off of us. Our rest from works and Abiding in the Vine of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Good News is that we don't earn our way into Salvation. The Lord Jesus has purchased our Salvation at the cost of His Life. The Lamb of God, sacrificed for us, who took away the sins of the world.

We don't have to become perfect, holy, or sinless for God to Love us and bring us to Salvation. He Loves us despite our imperfect, unholy, sinful lives. Because He has saved us is the reason why we try to Love Him back and try to be Holy like He is Holy, and try to be perfect like He is perfect, and try to be sinless like He is sinless. We are His little ones who He has imputed righteousness too, because we could not attain it ourselves. He calls us friends, and brothers.

That's Good News.

THE GOSPEL IS THIS ...

2Cor 5:19-21

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1Tim 3:16

16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

There is no other gospel outside of what these precious scripture testify. If any man think otherwise, he does not know the Son nor has he received the Son nor is the love of the Father in him, for he that has the Son has life and he that has not the Son has not life.

The gospel is pretty straight forward and easy to explain in a matter of a few minutes vocally. I usually start from the beginning with a couple of sentences from each of the following topics (in order):

1. How God created the world.

2. Why God created mankind.

3. How mankind rejected God by embracing / exalting self.

4. Why we live in a fallen world.

5. The world's need for a Savior.

6. God's love and Jesus' selfless sacrifice.

7. How to come to faith in Christ. (Pray with them if the opportunity arises)

This pretty much an outline of what I will share with someone who is lost. However, here are a couple of additional points that I usually reserve for those who are saved and / or those who desire to minister to others:

8. What it means to be saved (a disciple of Christ).

9. The importance of being led by the Holy Spirit and not the flesh.

10. The Great Commission and how God's provision is directly linked to God's purpose.

The Good News is that God created the world in six days and rested on the 7th. He is my creator and He loves me. I need to learn to love him, if I don't i'm screwed! Eternally.

That love is to " Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts."

If you make an honest and earnest attempt at this - everything that is TRUTHFUL thereafter you will believe and then see.

WOOOOOP!!! WOOOOOP!!!

The new covenant (NC) is that we love Him because He first loved us (1Jn 4:19). We must receive the love of God and let it produce in us the fruit of the Spirit which is contrary to the works of the flesh. The NC enables us through grace and the blood of Christ to be free from the flesh and the bondage of the old sin nature so that we can love God freely without guilt or condemnation in the mind and heart. Even if we were to fall and backslide into sin (God forbid), the love that God has for us and toward us does not change and is continuously available to us by faith.

Rom 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

commendeth - synistēmi, a verb that means to put together as to exhibit and it is a (present / active / infinitive). The action of this verb means that this commended love is continuously being ehibited by God through the agency of the Holy Spirit (as a fact) with an inexhaustible supply that we can never be separated from. If we are to keep the commandment to love God, that commandment would mean that we are to contiunually receive the love that He has for us, then we will be able to love Him as we have been loved by Him.

1Jn 4:9,10,19

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

So what your saying is that we need to Love God because Yeshua was sent to save us! God - Salvation- We need it - He doesn't! WHAT'S NEW ABOUT THAT???

Enoch, Noah, Abraham, David, Jehosephat, Isaiah to name a few, experienced and returned the Love of the Almighty and we will see them in Glory. They BELIEVED and that belief was reflected in their actions, hence they can be called faithful or as hebrews calls them witnesses.

What did they witness? The faithfulness of God (Him loving them, so they Loved him). As much fun as pontificating the issues might be, I like to simplify the whole thing.

Good News is simple - I believe that I need Yeshua because I can't do it on my own.
