Do you ever feel like a person that died is still alive because the holy spirit was with them when they were and in some way they are still with you when other friends they had come around? I get this feeling that God somehow does not deprive you of life just because of what the enemy did. I pray someday that this will make sense to me so that I can stop going with my second opinion about everything and move on. However, it is my second thought that makes more sense right now even though I don't know what to think. Thank you for taking time to read this and God bless you!

This has nothing to do with them still being alive outside of heaven. This is just memory. Memories are triggered by anything. Smells, places, songs... so many things can be a trigger. And the memories can often seem strong and vivid, but they're just memories.
If you're dealing with grief i suggest reading A Grief Observed by C S Lewis. Its a very small book, and is more or less a journal of what he experienced when his wife died. Its also very eye opening about the process we go through and the experiences we have during grief.

[h=3]Proverbs 18:24[/h]King James Version (KJV)

24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Thank you for the reference and help. I really needed to read that and understand. Thanks and God bless you!
