Then he has Media and Persia as a bear and a ram

Why are the beasts used to represent Greece not anything alike?
Why are the two beast that represent Media and Persia nothing alike?

Yes, I did see that the goat and ram are animals used in sacrifices. The two nations here are not God's people so what are you saying? There has to be a reason why out of the nations those two have 2 beast.

Not only the Ram and the He-goat are sanctuary symbols in Daniel 8, this is a list of sanctuary symbols in Daniel 8
Ram
He-goat
Horns
Daily (sacrifice has been added by the translators)
His sanctuary

Note these verses in Daniel 8. I deleted the words in italics in these verses
Daniel 8:13-14
(13) Then I heard one saint speaking, and another said unto that certain saint which spake, How long the vision the daily, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
(14) And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

If you read Daniel 8 the vision of the 2300 days is not explained and in Daniel 9 concerning the 70 weeks the angel says the 70 weeks are determined, the word determined means cut off, the 70 weeks are cut of from the 2300 days. They both have the same start date. 457 BC.

The Bible says that there is a heavenly sanctuary
Hebrews 8:1-2, 5
(1) Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
(2) A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
(5) Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Now look at these verses in Daniel 8
Daniel 8:11-12
(11) Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
(12) And an host was given against the daily by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Christ is our High Priest, He is our mediator, we do not need to go to the priest or Mary or anyone but Christ. Daniel 8 tells the work of this power, they take the place of Christ. The word anti means in place of. This chapter is showing the work of the antichrist whereas chapter 7 shows a different aspect that is why different beasts.

In Daniel chapter 8 you can tell that the ram is Medo-Persia,with the higher horn Persia, for they were the strongest of the union, and the goat is Greece, which was divided in 4 parts.

But the beasts described in Daniel chapter 7 do not have horns, that they push around with,so maybe the 2 kingdoms are illustrated as an animal that has horns that they use for pushing, which they are illustrated as pushing for power.

So Greece is known as a leopard, and Medo-Persia as a bear,of their main characteristics, and ram and goat is only to illustrate their pushing power.
