I push buttons on machines, and nothing happens. I click links on the computer, and nothing happens. I enter data, and invariably it deletes. It's gotten to the point where my byline is "any button worth pushing / link worth clicking / data worth entering is worth pushing/clicking/entering repeatedly". And I'm not the only one who notices it.

What do you suppose might be going on with that?

You are using window's vista. Or you are on a mac... If you are on a mac, I suggest you back away (they catch on fire).

Ya I get this from time to time but after 30 some years of marriage I have come to expect a certain degree of breakdown in communication.

Either you're pushing/clicking/entering the wrong button/link/data, or your computer hates you beyond belief!!! :p

Wait until no one listens to you anymore. I took my concern to my psychologist last week. I told her, "No one listens to me anymore. What could be wrong?" She looked at me for a moment then turned to the head nurse and shouted. "NEXT!"

Oh there's no doubt that ALL technology hates me! And it's not just the computer. Car stereos, vending machines, remote controls (don't get me started on remote controls) and those dang touch screens on phones and tablets AAARGH! I cannot get a wireless mouse or keyboard to work, tried a bunch of them and no go. Have continuing issues with our cable and phone service - their tech said it was like we were living right under a million jigawatt radio transmitter (which would produce interference), but we're nowhere near one. Maybe it's a technology demon!

My shrink told me I was paranoid - I told her that just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not after you! ;)
