God is in control of our world, all over the world. He is control of governments, family’s lives, and individual’s life. God has a master plan for all of us, it is very precise, accurate, and we can know and depend on it. If you don’t think so, look at a tide table next time you go to the coast. It tells you exactly when a tide will change, God set that up. For us, God gave a way that He will set aside that precision for us if we go to Him and pray correctly. We can be forgiven for sins if we truly turn from them. The sin sets up a reaction in our world, but it does not exclude us from eternal life. Besides, when we become part of the Kingdom of God, it is like going on a wonderful highway. Everything in it is made to work for good for us.

We all have to pay for the world the people around us build. If most people do not believe in marriage as God planned it, we often have to pay dearly for what others have built. If we live under a government that has not used the ways God gave for governments to be, we all have to pay. We are in the last days, we are all having to pay to live in this world. But God is making the best of it for each of us who walk in His Kingdom.

Have you thought about how God is working in your everyday life?

In everyday life I thank God for all the good things I encounter, the good parking place, the sunlight, my health, EVERY good thing comes from and because of Jesus. If there is something I don't understand-I pray and pick up my Bible. That's where I will find the answer. Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is with8in me bless His Holy name. He does NOT send the evil we confront-He's the Solution!!!!:)

Redtent, God is at work in our lives constantly. Every second of every day, he is working to better our lives so we can glorify him to the absolute best of our abilities. Disappointments are his way of telling us, "Wait awhile, I have something better planned for you." Too many times, when people feel like he's not answering their prayers, they don't realize that yes, he is!! But he answers in HIS time, not ours. They dont realize that when he seems far away and silent, that he IS still working in their lives. We make the mistake of thinking his answer will be an instant one--pray about it, and boom, an answer. God does'nt work that way. It happens when HE is ready.

Yes!! And sometimes God has a better way for it to work out for our benefit, and sometimes it doesn't fit in with our overall good in Him. Sometimes we just need to clear out the sin that is standing in the way of God reaching us with the good He wants for us, but we can always completely rely on God working for our good.

My dear friend sees no connection between scripture and how her life is. She feels that she wasn’t consulted about living in this world, she doesn’t like it, and has a right to take her own life, even. According to her, the bible is simply interpreted in many different ways, so cannot be relied on to tell truth. If it could be, she says, different people would agree about what it says. She feels her life experiences have told her all about God, and they are the right ones for her, she does not need to consult scripture. According to her, God has power in her life, but she has no control of that power at all.

Redtent, wow thats really small print!! I can barely read it--you may want to repost it in a bigger font. I dont quite understand why your friend feels that she wasnt consulted to live here. God does'nt have to consult with us!! Life is different for each person. Some people's experiences are better, some worse. Our life experiences teach us (or should) that God sends us these hardships for a reason: to see how well or badly we deal with them, and whether we try to do it on our own or seek his help. Yes the bible can be, and often is, interpreted in different ways, often to fit the attitude of the person's life, such as your friend. Suicide isn't an option; it is a sin. God specifically says so. I hope your friend will realize that Jesus is real and he is with her whether she feels him or not. All she needs to do is ask him for help. :)
