Are you new? We are or are to be a New creature. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Wherefore receive with meekness the Engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls. Be ye doers of the (engrafted) Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the(engrafted) word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty (the Engrafted Word), and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Therefore Let's not blaspheme that worthy name by the which we are called. If we fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, we do well: But if we have respect to persons, we commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty (the Engrafted Word).
(Jas 1:21-27; 2:7-12)
