I used to feel guilty when praying for God to give me the right partner...........but then (I think it was) God told me it's not all about me. That lifted a load off my mind.............thinking actually it's also about God being glorified in our relationships, the other partner, the plans God has for us as couples, and the people that can be reached..........some who it might not be as easy to, or even possible as a single.........................

It doesn't mean I pray all the time for the right partner now, there's no set rule how much we should pray for a particular topic, except as God leads you.............

Anyway............IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU, OR ME, feels good don't it :) be blessed brothers and sisters!

Thats absolutely right. Its writen that do not be yoked together with unbelievers. This actualy calls for us to pray that God gives us the right partner

I think that's a good way to look at things.

Praying for a "Godly" spouse isn't selfish, because a "Godly" spouse isn't just about God pleasing us,
it's about a life partner to help us serve God, and help us accomplish the things God put each of us here to do.

AS long as we pray for the missing piece, we are concerned on the flesh... Is it that the important thing we deal with God? There are more things we should be concerned than flesh.
I imagine Adam. He was with God, but he felt bored and "made" Eve (and problems appeared). Ja! Ja!
First, he walked farther and left God (we are not told how long he went and nothing about time mentioned).

Relations, lasting ones depends on OUR MINDS, those things we have set (and our flesh is not easily satisfied) (it asked more than it can give).

Yesssss! You are right! Couples ought to be well matched and HE IS BEST to lead us to that one or, to hold our hands into celibacy: Both are fine! and I'm learning to leave earthly things.
