the lord said to Moses, if anyone sins and is unfaithful to the lord by deceiving his neighbor, if he cheats him and commit any such sin, he must repay what he got by dishonest means. he shall not only restore it in full but shall add to it one fifth more. and then he shall bring his guilt offering, a ram to the lord. the priest will sacrifice it to make things right, and he shall be forgiven.

Yeah, the persons defrauded get their property back and the priest collect a fine from the transgressor. Say what you will but it ain't easy for the priests to keep the streets of righteousness free from sinners in the holy land.

Eh no it's Leviticus 6:4-5, 120% is owed for defrauding someone under the law given through Moses, and all of it goes to the one who was cheated; none of it goes to a priest, and a guilt offering is then required by the Lord, for the Lord. Guilt offerings are not fines that priests collect, at least, if that's how some priest looks at it, as a way to collect for himself, he's got something twisted imho

the blood of the guilt offering shall be thrown against the bronze altar, the guilt offering is just like the sin offering.

a burnt offering is to be left on the altar all night long, then the priest in linen robe shall remove the ashes. he shall change his clothes and take the ashes outside the camp.

any Aaronite priests may eat the sin offering but anyone else shall be harmed by its holiness. this bread? also is most holy, eaten by the priests in the sacred courtyard.

and Moses took the anointing oil and first anointed the tent, sprinkling seven times on the Altar, he anointed the laver and then then poured some oil on the head of Moses to consacrate him.

that bugged me too. Sounds like a hiss. Am hoping he held the s too long and didn't notice.
after the ordination rites were completed, the people met together at the entrance of the tent of meeting. and Aaron offered the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship affering. then suddenly the dazzling light of the presence of the lord appeared and fire was sent to consume the offerings on the altar.

the priest shall burn the fat of the animal, but the breast of the animal shall belong to the priests and the right shoulder is given to the priest who dash the blood. anyone ritually clean may eat of the fellowship offering.

a woman who gives birth to a son is unclean for seven days. on the eighth day the child shall be circumcised, and for another 33 days she remains unclean and Mary could not go to the temple or touch anything sacred. when her days of purification are ended, she must bring to the priest a yearly lamb for a burnt offering and a dove for a sin offering.

What does that have to do with spelling Jesus' name with 4 esses?

And it's "consecrate"..not "consacrate".. :)

when a man who is not married has an emision of semen, he is unclean until the evening. when a woman has her monthly period, she is unclean for seven day, anyman who has sex with her during this time becomes unclean for seven day. the lord told Moses to warn the people for their uncleanness that they would not defile the tent of his presence in the middle of the camp. therefore, on the tenth of the seventh month, the israelites must fast. on that day the ritual is to be performed to purify the Tabernacle and the people from all sins. on that holy day, the high priest is to go into the most holy place where the lord appears like a cloud above the lid on the covenant box.

do not have sex with any of your relatives. do not have intercourse with another man's wife. no man is to have sex with another man. none is to have sexual relation with an animal. that is how those who lived in the land before you made themselves unclean and whom the lord is driving out that you may go in. anyone who does them shall be cut off from his people. keep my charge never to practice any of the abominable customs.

the lord has commanded that the blood of all clean animal be poured out on the Altar. remember that anyone who offers a sacrifice except at the tabernacle, has broken the law. people must no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to demons.
