I receive by email a newspaper about health and in the last number there was this article:

Young and sex. The "first time": in one case out of five happens before age 14
A survey in some Italian schools reveals that the age of first intercourse continues to lower. But what worries most is the substantial "ignorance" of adolescents on health risks. 73% of young people surveyed did not even know 5 of the main sexually transmitted diseases.

It's crazy and terrible too. There is no sex education in the family neither at school and there are the results of this.
How many young people ruined by this bad behaviours?
I need a lot of prayers here for my country Italy that is literally sinking.

Don't Doctors also say/believe that a girl who engages in sexual relations under a certain age greatly increase their risk of cervical cancer? Is this even taught to young girls?

.........dunno, no expert, just asking.......

Yes it's often heard that women who started having sex young or women who have a lot of different sex partners are more likely to get cervical cancer. But really, this is only true because the earlier you start having sex and the more men you have sex with, the more likely you are to pick up an infection with a high risk like Papilloma's virus infection.

hospitalpharmacist, unfortunately the "first time" for children under 14 is alot higher than actually reported. They think their grown up enought at 14 or 15 to decide for themselves whether having sex that young is right or not. Children these days are so eager to grow up and become adults so they can do adult things such as have sex, drink or smoke or whatever. I see young kids all the time where I live smoking cigarettes and these babies, yes BABIES, are like only 9 or 10 years old!! That to me is outrageous. Where is the parental influence on these kids? I say until a child is at least 19 or 20, they are too young for sex. By the way, i love your kitty pic--soooo cute!! :)
