On MSN today it told of a teacher that asked each student in her class to write who in the class they wanted to be friends with and who they admired. She read these to find who was left out, for someone felt out is someone who is not being treated kindly. It is a way of being a bully. She gave the left out student special attention, so they could feel included.

Is there someone around you who is being left out? Even adults are often unkind in this way.

Ephesians 4:32 ESV Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Luke 6:35 ESV /But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
Proverbs 11:17 ESV A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.
Colossians 3:12 ESV Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
Proverbs 31:26 ESV She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Thank you for your post. We should try to see who is being excluded and try to include them or let them know they are welcome to join in when they are ready, if they choose to join. Even just a kind word or smile can change a person's day. I read a story once of an individual who was going to go home to kill himself, but as he was walking home, a peer came up and made conversation with him. Little things like this can change a life.
