All references in the Bible use Jerusalem as the center point. The Roman legion soldiers from Syria are the ones who destroyed the Temple. They were both Syrian and Roman so could the King of the north be from Syria? Syria is an Islamic country and Islam is the religion that cuts people’s heads off that do not believe in their god.

After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.Dan 9:26
Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their forehead or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.rev 20:4
Daniel 11:3,4
"A valiant king", Alexander the Great, whose kingdom after his death was divided into four parts.
1) Seleucus I - who began the Seleucid (Syrian) empire, from Turkey to India.
2) Cassander - who took over Macedonia (Greece).
3) Lysimachus - who took Thracia (between Greece and Turkey).
4) Ptolemy I - who ruled over Egypt.

Antiochus IV Epiphanes a forerunner to the Antichrist was from the Seleucus empire so his roots are in Syria.

Daniel 11:45
(45) And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

He goes to Jerusalem to conquer and have people look at him as god, but if he comes from the north he is not from Jerusalem.

Daniel 11:45
(45) And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

It is impossible for Daniel 11 to be completely fulfilled because when the king of the north comes to an end is the time of trouble
Daniel 11:45
(45) And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Daniel 12:1
(1) And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.

The weight of the gold earrings that he requested was 1,700 shekels of gold, besides the crescent ornaments and the pendants and the purple robes which were on the kings of Midian, and besides the neck bands that were on their camels' necks. Judges 8:26

It looks like Islam once was a religion, was not at John’s time and now is again.
Then the 3 countries to the north of Israel there is Lebanon, Syria and Turkey and they are all Islamic countries. Islam cuts people’s heads off that do not believe in their god.

your right. it proves it has not been fulfilled.

this seems to tell me the one who plants his tabernacle shall be destroyed before the tribulation (time of trouble, or the tribulation Jesus spoke of which immediately follows the abomination of desolation). probably by the ruler, who commits the abomination himself, who the people of this king would not worship, but be apposed to.

think about it. The man of sin has to get rid of every world religious power before he can declare himself messiah, because they would appose him.

The crescent moon as a religious symbol was used as early as 2300 BC . It was the symbol of the Mesopotamian Moon gods. The moons god’s name was also known as sin. If that is not a big clue what is

It was the Ottoman Empire that took the crescent moon and star to become the symbol of the Muslim world. Constantinople (Istanbul) does sit on 7 hills. The founder of the Ottoman empire had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty.

the bible rebukes worship of the moon god

Deut 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Deut 17:3 and contrary to my command has worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the stars of the sky,

Kings 23:5 He did away with the pagan priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem--those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts

Jer 8:2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

Judges 8:21 and 8:26 Gideon ( YHVH’s people ) fought the Midian army who had the crescent ornaments on their camels ( not YHVH’s people)

8:21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Rise yourself and fall upon us, for as the man is, so is his strength.” And Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and he took the crescent ornaments that were on the necks of their camels

8:26 The weight of the gold earrings that he requested was 1,700 shekels of gold, besides the crescent ornaments and the pendants and the purple robes which were on the kings of Midian, and besides the neck bands that were on their camels' necks.

I believe that the king of the north is Islam. The king of the north cannot be the antichrist because the king of the north comes to an end at the beggining of the time of trouble.

I always thought the King of the north was the Antichrist, but after what you said I think you are right. I do not think upright people would be with an Islam king. Wow I have to look more into this. Thanks

The war of the king the north must be Ezekiel 38-39. They are all Islamic nations. Then in Ezekiel 40-43 there is a temple. I know this is a picture of theMillennium Temple but it’s placement after this war could be a picture also of the temple the antichrist sits in. This war makes the temple possible.
Then Judas was one that walked closest to Jesus. He is the son of perdition like the antichrist. The antichrist must be considered a great leader of the Christian church. He has upright people who follow him to desecrate the temple this is in Daniel 11:17. Is this how you see it.

Not sure about Ezekiel 38-43 will have to get back to you on that. Daniel 11:17 is different to 11:45, it is a different time period. Also I believe the 1000 years are in heaven not on earth.

The AntiChrist is the one who desecrates the temple by committing an abomination. Dan 9 says he comes from the "people who destroy the city and temple) which was done by the romans in AD70. Thus the antichrist would be a prince from the revised roman empire.

As for ez 38-39. we know a few things.

1. As you say, Most asre currently muslim nations.
2. God does not klill them with armies. He kills them supernaturally.
3. Their defeat causes Israel to repent. And the gentiles, whp hated her will now know she is truly Gods chosen nation.
4. The promised restoration of Israel to her land will be fulfilled.
5. The peace God promised them will take place.
6. This battle happens before the final battle, at the return of Christ. when the man of sin and his armies come to battle, When Christ returns and destroys them with his armies and sword.

Why is the king of the north not the anarchist? Daniel 11:21-45 is talking about the king of the north and king of the south. Syrian people were Romans so they fit in here. the people who destroyed the temple were Syrian Romans. In Daniel 11:45 that is where the last king of the north dies. Then Daniel 12 lets us know this is the time of the end.

The abomination is set up by the antichrist in Daniel 11:31. This starts the 3 1/2 years. Then he dies in Daniel 11:45. Daniel 12 with Michael is going over Daniel 11:33-35 until the time of the end. This Shows that Daniel 11:31 is when Michael stands up and the 3 1/2 years start.

Daniel 11-12:4 is in chronological order. Here is some info
Daniel 11:20
(20) Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
Luke 2:1
(1) And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

Daniel 11:22
(22) And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant

The prince of the covenant is Christ.
