we live in a fallen creation.................disasters are a part of that. always have been, and will be until the end.......

one thing I find odd is how one disaster is classified as "major" over another............for the person/people who suffer through a disaster.........I bet it's "major" to them.

all a matter of perspective I suppose..........

Matt 24:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But all these things are the beginning of travail.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

Certainly Jesus spoke of the "end times" and how certain events would occur, not saying they won't. What I'm saying is we can't start screaming.............THE END IS HERE! every time a rain cloud darkens the sky.

Wildfires, earthquakes, floods, tornados, hurricanes, droughts, whatever...........have been occurring since God gave us seasons. In my opinion, if we "fix our eyes on Jesus, and be about the work of the Kingdom, we will be far better served than watching for the next "major disaster" to hit so we can declare "the END IS HERE."

We are given a Spirit of peace, not a spirit of fear............but, now, that's just me, sooooooooo

Excuse me please for interrupting your thinking I or others are jumping up and down
with joy because we see a story tornado's , hurricanes, snow upon snow so deep
people can't get to their destination. Sitting in traffic for 20 hours in a State that
rarely has more than inch of snow. Traffic snarled due to ice temperatures keeping
people from being able to drive let alone walk. Abandon cars because they have no
choice. If you think I or any other Christian get our kicks out of other people being
hit with disasters, IMO, you are one person who should examine WHY YOU think
those, like myself, believe Jesus is coming simply because we believe His Word.

How can you even think such silly thoughts and accuse anyone, or just choose ME,
I don't care..... but stop and listen to yourself and re read your post. No Christian,
not even a human being that has compassion for others would look forward to the
next event just so we can say... YEA !! One step closer. Well you know what ?
When the next event occurs, I am going to say that.... One step closer Jesus.
What are you going to say when you are hit with a major disaster. We have been
blessed when others have suffered. But unfortunately the Word tells us ...
"It rains on the just and unjust alike. " ~ J~K~2

Hey, I am not sorry. You imply we are ignorant Christians who are seeing
what you cannot see occurring ? I don't claim to be the most intelligent
person in the world, but I have lived life long enough to know what our Country
is suffering is abnormal.

IMO, people are scared Jesus is coming back and denying these events are
not connected. Have you heard about those who bury their head in the sand ?
You know, the kind who do not want to see what is happening just as Jesus
predicted.

Okay... so I went on a rant. I am sorry. It just aggravates me to no end people
are not seeing these events for what they really are. I guess what it all comes
down to is.... You see it your way... I see it mine... In the end, Jesus has final say.

Of course, it'll get worse...We still haven't seen the storm yet, this is just drizzle, but I am ready for Heaven...I don't really focus on that...I focus on bringing more people to his kingdom. That's why I can't stand to see Christians fuss and squabble over petty things and denominations. People NEED Christ...it's never the time to be as weak as we are in today's world. I absolutely hate it.

Our whole point is to bring the Gospel too people in all kinds of ways! We are slacking, I don't care about being Blessed if I can't share the Gospel.

Woah, I rambled...oops, any way, Events are happening, Warning signs are here, and now is the time to stop being a weak body of christians, put aside our differences and bring people to Christ...but I fear we'll only get weaker.

No you are right.. You are not rambling....The issue here is I think everyone is
Christian, and discovered not all are. So you have been wise to call a halt to
someone such as myself, for losing my cool because someone did not agree
with me. That is what it really comes down to isn't it ? I thought after clicking
on the link I posted it would be easier for posters to see how Major Disasters
are Explained. So, when it wasn't viewed by the poster the way I thought he
should have seen it, I spoke in a manner that was not Christ like or in love.
I thank you for bringing that to my attention. God Bless You ... You are going
to do great things for the Lord. Win many souls. My prayers are with you and
we will agree, souls are more important than the signs. I believe the signs
however will cause some to fall to their knees and cry out to God for salvation
and repent as Jesus deals with each heart. Good night ~ God bless you....
