They would have to be, and it appears as if the earth spews out more natural disasters the worse the sin problem on earth, and as time goes on the world gets more selfish, arrogant, and self exalting, for that is the direction the world is going, until the transgressors are come to the full, and the antichrist deceives them to follow the beast kingdom, that acknowledges no personal God.
For when they say Peace and safety sudden destruction comes upon them, for they are more wicked, and rebellious, than at any other time in history.
In the garden of Eden it was peaceful, no natural disasters, all they had to do was trim the garden, and they were riding the gravy train, and God spoke to them in the cool of the day, made in the shade.
But when they sinned then they had to fend for themselves and provide for themselves, and sometimes in soil that was not as fertile as in the garden of Eden.
And from there the world got worse in arrogance, which the last generation will not obey their parents, and be pure in their own eyes but not washed from their filthiness, and highly selfish, and highly arrogant, and will devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy among men, with their heaping money to themselves.
So natural disasters will spew out more according to the sin problem of the world, which I do not know how that works other than the world will have it as good as their actions, whether good or bad, and the earth reacts to their actions.
In the garden, no problem, cast from the garden, little problem, and the problem got worse as time went on, until the end time where they are more wicked then in the past, so the earth will react according to their actions and spew out more natural disasters.
Jesus said at the end time earthquakes would be on different places on earth, the sea and the waves roaring.
It appears that is how God set it up for the earth to operate, for the earth will react according to the actions of the world, so do not blame God for natural disasters, but blame the world's sin problem, and if not with Jesus your sin problem too.

Rom 8:
19) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
In the above verses, "creature" = "creation".
