Lord,

We stand up for our rights,
Fight - sue - take.

When we think we have none,
Someone will say, "Yes you do."

We worry about losing what we have,
And work to make sure we don't.

Then I remember that you are there,
Defending me - maintaining my cause.

I open my grasping hands,
Emptying them to be able to receive.

You tell me to look at what I have now,
That this is what is rightfully mine.

And you promise that I will not miss -
One good thing.
