I received a wonderful blessing today and now I'm afraid. I think that maybe I received the blessing because I need to brace myself for something that's about to happen. I've been sitting here thanking Jesus for the blessing and praying for nothing to go wrong now. :/ Does anybody ever feel like this?

I thought of this scripture when I read your post, perhaps you might want to meditate on it because what your feeling isn't from God. He won't give you a blessing only to receive backlash, just steward the blessing well :)

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Consider Moses' plight on the mountain when he was told about the affliction of God's people and being appointed by God that he was to lead the enslaved people out of Egypt. Do you suppose that he didn't have any emotional reservations as to fulfilling the God appointed task? Whom did God say would be with him(Moses) during this ordeal?

I hope for you that you believe what you posted. Terrible things are already started. Soon darkness will be here and you will need divine protection. The time of God's judgment against the earth will start very very soon. When it starts it won't stop until Jesus returns to Jerusalem. Don't believe it when people preach prosperity to you. Instead pray to the father with your whole heart to stay awake. That way when the rapture comes you will be ready.

Somebody, ummmm, no I dont ever feel like that. When God gives us a blessing, he gives it with a feeling of happiness, not dread of whats gonna happen next. Usually it means something GOOD, not bad is about to happen. Waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop, is not a normal thing to do when one receives a blessing from God. If this blessing filled you with dread, then its NOT a blessing and its NOT of God!! :(

When God created the world it was all darkness at first and the first thing God did to this world was add light.

This is one time we need Hebrew to truly understand because we don't have an English word for what was translated into darkness and light. The darkness was choshek and the light was owr. Those words mean spiritual darkness and spiritual light, it was four days later that God gave the world the sun and moon. That spiritual light means God wants for us everything that is peaceful, good, abundant, fine.

If we lived in a world ruled by the order that God lays out for us in His laws, it would have lots and lots of "owr" in every life. It is what God wants for us. God uses the bad things that come into our life for good for us because we love Him, but God does not want anything for us but good.

So you can put your trust completely in God. If something bad comes into your life, it is not God's will for that to happen, it is only God's will to make it into the best that can be made of it for you. Scripture says everything works for good for those who are called.
