When you have a baby orphan sheep with no mother, if you put it with a different mother she will trample it to death because it isn't her baby.

If a sheep's baby dies what they do is skin the dead baby sheep and take the skin and rub it all over the orphan sheep and the new mother sheep that will be to the orphan and tie the skin around the orphan sheep for a few days and it will be accepted by the new mom.

In order for the orphan sheep to live a different one must die in it's place.

Sin stinks (to high heaven) (literally) and through no work of our own we get the smell of Jesus and his blood covers us before a holy perfect God.
