Well that is simple.

What music out there which is not loved at all by the world?
where is it written 'blessed are you when you make noises no one likes to hear' ?

but it is written,
you will be hated by all for my name’s sake
(Matthew 10:22)

see that? the name of Jesus is what offends the world.
the world hates gospel dubstep.
the world hates gospel metal.
the world hates gospel country-western.
the world hates gospel easy-listening.
the world hates gospel polka.
the world hates gospel spoken-word.
the world hates gospel hip-hop and rap.
the world hates gospel bluegrass.
the world hates gospel opera.
the world hates gospel indie and folk.
the world hates gospel blues.
the world hates gospel jazz.
the world hates gospel inspirational.
the world hates gospel pop.
the world hates gospel reggae.

see what all these have in common.... ???
the name of Jesus!

Chosen who wrote this hymn?

The Polar Star

Weary wanderer over the main,
Seeking for thy home again,
Through the gathering mists that rise,
Veiling thy natal skies;
Look beyond, there’s light for thee,
Streaming over the turbid sea,
Softly it smiles, though distant far,
The beautiful polar star.

Stranger on a rocky strand,
Longing for thy fatherland,
Through the gathering clouds that rise,
Veiling thy natal skies;
Look beyond, there’s hope for thee,
Dawning over a tranquil sea,
Softly it smiles, though distant far,
The beautiful polar star.

Lonely watcher, pale with grief,
Thou shalt find a sweet relief,
Though thy tears unheeded fall,
Jesus will count them all;
Look beyond, there’s joy for thee,
Breaking over a troubled sea,
Softly it smiles, though distant far,
The beautiful polar star.

Does this hymn really have any deep theological meaning?

How about this one?

Laurels,Fresh Laurels

Laurels, fresh laurels, for the Sunday School we bring;
They will bloom in fadeless verdure
Through a calm eternal spring;
Then gladly hail with a pure delight,
Oh, hail our beautiful wreath so bright;
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, for the Sunday School, for the Sunday School,
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, for the Sunday School we bring.

Laurels, Fresh Laurels, for the Sunday School to wear;
All may win the precious garland,
All the flaming crown may wear;
The smile of hope and the dew of prayer,
Has made this beautiful wreath so fair.
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, for the Sunday School, for the Sunday School,
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, for the Sunday School to wear.

Laurels, Fresh Laurels, then awake the song anew.
They will make you good and gentle,
You will love and praise them, too;
Oh, meet in heaven the heart so true,
That twined the beautiful wreath for you.
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, then awake the song, then awake the song.
Laurels, Fresh Laurels, then awake the song so new.

How about this one Chosen?

All Aboard For Glory

Hasten down to the Gospel station,
Drawing near is the Heav’n-bound train,
It is now on the way to glory,
Nevermore to return again;
Bright the headlight of truth is gleaming,
It’s on time, and will not delay;
Now it’s slowing up at the station,
I can hear the conductor say:
Refrain
All aboard, we’re going to glory,
All aboard, come, join our band;
All aboard, come, swell the sweet story,
We are bound for glory land!
There’s no time to delay, my brother,
Get your ticket, and be on time,
Soon the powerful Gospel engine
Will be off for the heav’nly clime;
Ask the Savior for His protection,
He is sure to be true and kind,
If you linger in doubt and folly,
You will surely be left behind.
Refrain
Come and start on the way to glory,
There to dwell in the land divine,
With our Savior, the Great Conductor,
At the end of the glory line;
There to enter the holy city,
Where we’ll meet our beloved and own,
Join with them and the holy angels,
Singing praises around the throne.
Refrain

All Aboard for Glory

Is that hymn theologically correct or does it pose a very real problem with it? I can't imagine why when given a choice I would much rather sing the truth in songs like this over that poorly thought out hymn.

Holy is the Father who chose to send His Son
Perfect is the Savior, the sacrificial One
Sacred was the cleansing blood that poured out of His hands
And righteous is Your power that can change the heart of man

Here I will kneel before You
I vow to fall down and adore You
I've got to feel the touch of Your hand
I know I've got to feel the touch of Your hand

(chorus)
Worshipful, mighty, reverent, holy is Your name
From the beginning to forever You'll always be the same
You are the only way, You are the truth, You are the life
You are the only way, You are the truth, You are the life

Holy, the Redeemer, a tortured innocent man
Perfect was His broken body that died and rose again
And sacred are these words He gave us, written by His hand
And righteous is His kingdom where we will live with Him

Here I will kneel before You
I vow to forever adore You
I've got to feel the touch of Your hand
I know I've got to feel the touch of Your hand

Worshipful, mighty, reverent, holy is Your name
From the beginning to forever You'll always be the same

You will never leave or forsake us
There is no one that can separate us
Just as long as we confess these words
There will be no end

God, will You forgive me?
God, make this blind man see
God, in You I believe
God, through Your Son redeem me

Here I will kneel before You
I vow to fall down and adore You
I've got to feel the touch of Your hand
I know I've got to feel the touch of Your hand

(chorus)
