Re: TRUMP ROCKS! RUSSIA TALKS! HILLARY WALKS! BUT, NO "SESSIONS" FOR SEN. SESSION
I still believe strongly that Sen. Sessions will not be confirmed by the Senate for several reasons already stated in this post:
1) Regardless of the Senator's track record, which has turned up serious issues regarding civil rights, the appearance of racism will be perceived simply because of the history of Alabama in the 1960's, and his Anglo ancestry.
2) Therefore, if the Senate confirms Sessions, right after Martin Luther King day was observed in America, would be a confirmation of the Senate as a racist Senate, considering the dynamics of President Trump's administration.
3) Sen. Sessions would not appear to represent: "LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!"
but,
"LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL RICH WHITE DUDES FROM THE SOUTH!!"
4) It would be a grievous offense to Black Americans considering the accidental shootings of minorities, for the nations "top cop," to appear to represent obsolete, failed, racist, elitist, ineffective, deadly justice and law-enforcement policies of the past, highlighted by the failed "war on drugs," that even some police chiefs, such as Police Chief, Leonard Companello, of Massachussetts, have admitted is over:
"THE WAR ON DRUGS IS OVER, AND WE LOST; THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN ARREST OUR WAY OUT OF THIS."
--Police Chief, Leonard Companello (Massachusetts),
speaking on behalf of friends and families in his precinct who lost their lives to heroin addiction, causing him to favor a "treatment over incarceration," model, something which is being promoted here in Alaska with the sweeping, radical, new, promising Senate Bill 91 reforms, designed to save money and make the community safer by making changes for low-offenders based on proven statistics.
