Hey everyone.........it has been quite a while since I've been on here.......so much going on, and so much to deal with.

My Mother is now in a Hospice Care Facility........and it's a day to day situation with her. Family has been coming in to see her and then going back to their lives.......much like a merry go round here without the "merry" though.

I know Mom is well prepared for her new life, and I know it will be pure "joy" for her, but to be completely honest, it's killing me. I know I'm not the first or the only person to experience such as this.........and this isn't the first time for me either. Guess when it's your Mom though, it's seems so different.

Anyway, thank everyone who has been praying for her............God bless and keep you each and every one!

I am so sorry for your pain. I cannot imagine how hard this is for you. I will be praying for you and your family. We recently lost my husband's grandmother and the one thing that gave us solace during that grief filled time was knowing for sure that she was with Jesus, sitting happily by His side.

God Bless.

If it's any comfort it's much easier when your loved one is a believer as my mom was than when they are not a believer as my step dad wasn't and my adopted dad isn't.

Very true Brother.............while I fully know that her passing will mean "joy" for her........it's still hard to be joyous about it. The Apostle Paul wrote of this, and I have relied on his comments these past few weeks..........still..........

Thank you each and every one for your kind words and especially for your prayers.

Jesus said, oh Jerusalem I would put you under my wings, like a mother to her babies.
God knows your heart. Draw nigh unto him, and he will draw nigh unto you. Hugs.

Mom went home to be with Jesus today....................4:21PM...........I know she is rejoicing, but we, who are left behind, are suffering the loss of such a wonderful Mother, friend, and Christian..........

I'm posting her favorite Hymn............

Father in Heaven, You brought home a woman, a mother, today who is so happy to be with You. We rejoice for the happiness she is feeling being with You. While we know that she is thrilled to be in Your presence, her family here misses her so much. Please be with them--give them the strength and comfort to get through the grief they are feeling. We know that all things are possible through You. We give glory in Your name.

Amen

[h=1]2 Corinthians
5[/h]
1 .) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 .) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 .) If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 .) For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 .) Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 .) Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 .) (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 .) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 .) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 .) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

A lot could be taken from us, but The Lord Jesus said, I leave you my peace, peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth , which is fragile.

May the Lord Jesus stand at your side, through all this. As you sit and reflect, may the words of the Lord remind you that we do not mourn as the world does, for Jesus has conquered death and the grave. So rejoice, our names are written in the book of the Lamb, and one day he will wipe all tears from our eyes, this is your blessed hope. Be Stronge.

Just a final note on this thread...........FYI.

We laid Mom to rest on Friday........Valentine's Day........

The funeral was delayed because we had two snowstorms earlier in the week, and it was impossible to hold the Service. And, while, at the time it was very stressful, as I now reflect upon the events, I am very happy that it worked out as it did. Now my memories of Valentine's Day will be of the Mother I dearly loved..............God is truly good........
