What have you biding?

• “Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; and I looked for some to mourn with me, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.” (Ps 69:20).

When we are going through something, our inclination is to long for somebody that can help us out. Nevertheless, what kind of hope do we expect to find? Once everybody is sinner, don’t get surprised if you receive this kind of affront:

• “They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.” (Ps 69:21).

Of course, what we crave for is a true witness:

• “A faithful witness will not lie, but a false witness will speak lies.” (Prov 14:5).

However, the human being is false by nature. What can we receive of them, once they are under malediction?

• “Let their table become a snare before them; and to those at ease a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; and make their loins shake without ceasing. Pour out Your wrath on them, and let the glow of Your anger take hold of them. Let their dwelling be wasted; let none dwell in their tents.” (Ps 69:22-25).

Recall that:

• “Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things.” (Mt 12:34-35)

Therefore, once the person is fraught of curse, even if they wish to bless someone, they can’t because nobody can give the seed that they don’t have. The only thing they can do is what brought to them the curse:

• “For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.” (Ps 69:26).

Thus, how can we hope they change if we pray for them like David?

• “Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.” (Ps 69:27-28).

In face of this, of course, we will be poor and sad (Ps 69:29) and, it is useless to claim for the salvation of the Creator (Ps 69:29). What kind of salvation can we hope if the enemies receive what we ask to Jesus for them?

So, if you yearn for being assisted in your tribulation, pray to Jesus in according to the New Alliance?

• “And receive him who is weak in the faith, but not to judgments of your thoughts. ” (Rom 14:1);
• “Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour; whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in the world are being completed in your brotherhood.” (1Pe 5:8,9);
• “But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you, so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Mat 5:44,45).

Have a good day waiting only in Jesus; and this in order to be a blessing in His hands. Don’t hope for anybody, for certainly you will get frustrated. After all, only Jesus can help you in the right area, in the right moment, in the right way, in the right measure.
