2 Peter 3:17-18
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

When we grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Paul becomes much easier to understand.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6

5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

This is not hard to explain to a Christian.

This becomes difficult to explain to legalists and pharisees who wrestle and twist the word and are led away with the error of the wicked.

All I can say is that the vail comes off in Christ. It won't be possible to understand Paul if you don't come to Christ first.
These "legalists and pharisees" (as you describe them) and others may describe them as "modern day Judaizers/misguided teachers of the law" play the same game in salvation as every other false movement of Christendom.

They profess to teach that salvation is by grace through faith, but then redefine this in a way that is contrary to the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16).
Even though they may even deny this, they teach that salvation is by "grace plus law, faith plus works."

Their doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the Gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9)

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yeah a mix of law and grace.

If obedience to the law is required. Then grace is nullified, and we have to earn the wage of eternal life (salvation)

It is not even the law. Many mainstream churches just have these moral acts of righteousness they say people must do (water baptism, churhc membership, speaking in tongues etc etc..) yet when we think if it is not any different.

To them, salvation is not a gift of god, it is a wage, which must be earned by the person. Who then is free to boast.

Also none can be "good enough" we all need mercy as we have all committed sin worthy of death, yet this does not in any way teach that obedience is obselete, done away, not needed, etc.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the reign of Yah? Do not be deceived. Neither those who whore, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor greedy of gain, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers shall inherit the reign of Yah.”

why?

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

judgment seat” is word #G968 - béma: a step, raised place, by impl. A tribunal, Original Word: βῆμα, ατος, τό, Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter, Transliteration: béma, Phonetic Spelling: (bay'-ma), Short Definition: the space covered by a step of the foot, a tribunal, Definition: an elevated place ascended by steps, a throne, tribunal.

If we must all appear before the judgememnt seat of Messiah how will any come through judgement? Because the boold of the Lamb cleanses us of sin, the blood of the Lamb does not cleanse of from obedience.

John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yah remains on him.”

We must not confuse DESCRIPTIVE passages of Scripture with PRESCRIPTIVE passages of Scripture. Those who keep (guard, watch over, preserve) the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus is DESCRIPTIVE of genuine believers. Those who seek salvation through their best efforts to obey the 10 commandments from the OT and call that faith in Jesus are mixing law and grace.

I mean they believe and do. If one did not believe Yah they would not seek Him, His truth, His will, etc.

that is why;

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”

see the similitude with obey and believe here: not obey is likened to not blelieve:

ONLY GOD'S WORD IS TRUE; JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT

Jesus says; If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day (John 12:47-48).

We are sinners and cannot judge anyone, neither do I judge you. Only God's Word can judge another this is why it is written..................

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment (John 7:24).

There is only one good (Righteous) and that is God (Matthew 19:17). This is why the Word of God will judge us all in the last days and only the Word of God can judge RIGHTEOUSLY. So then we are permitted according to the scriptures to judge RIGHTEOUSLY according to God's Word.

All who follow him who LOVES all have a duty of LOVE to GOD and their FELLOW MAN to preach the GOSPEL (the WORD of God) because SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM. God's sheep hear HIS VOICE (the WORD = RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT)

Now God's Word says.........

He that says he KNOWS HIM and DOES NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS is a LIAR and the truth in NOT IN HIM (1 John 2:3-4)

So if someone is professing to be from God and does not teach or keep God's Commandments is it RIGHTEOUS Judgement to BELIEVE GOD'S WORD that this person is a LIAR and Does not KNOW God?

and again........

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:17-19)

Now if someone comes along and starts teaching against God's Law and the prophets is it RIGHTEOUS judgement to BELIEVE God's WORD and know that person is not following God's WORD?

and again......

Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him. (1 John 3:6)

Now if someone comes along and starts teaching that breaking God's law is OK, and KNOWINGLY breaks God's commandments is it RIGHTEOUS judgement to BELIEVE God's WORD and know that person is not following God's WORD and does NOT KNOW GOD?

and again......

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:7-8)

Once again, if someone comes along and starts teaching that breaking God's law is OK, and KNOWINGLY breaks God's commandments is it RIGHTEOUS judgement to BELIEVE God's WORD and know that person is not following God's WORD and does NOT KNOW GOD and is following the Devil?

and again........

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:15-23)

Once again, if someone comes along and starts teaching that breaking God's law is OK, and KNOWINGLY breaks God's commandments is it RIGHTEOUS judgement to BELIEVE God's WORD and know that person is not following God's WORD and does NOT KNOW GOD and is following the Devil, and that person is a false prophet (messenger). If Jesus tells us that we shall know them by their fruit (SIN or OBEDIENCE) Is it RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT to BELIEVE God's WORD?

Now we can go on and on but I think you get the point.......

Severe as it may sound it is the Word of God telling us that those who teach against God's Word including the 10 commandments are NOT BELIEVING God's Word. Now you can spin it any way you want to but at the end of the day it is God's Word not mine.

God's Word is RIGHTEOUS judgement and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW IT. UNBELIEVERS are those who do not BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's Word teaching against God's LAW (Matthew 5:19).

Now the scriptures teach and say this not me. Our part is to BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's Word. If we do not then we are UNBELIEVERS and in danger of the Judgement.

If I have LOVE to you as my neighbor and God has revealed His Word to me then I have a duty of LOVE to help my fellow man and warn him to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at hand because God is not willing that ANY should PERISH and not be saved (Ezekiel 3:17-21; 2 Peter 3:9).

Even though the scriptures may appear harsh sometimes they are written in LOVE to wake up those who may miss out on the blessings that God wants to give to all mankind.

Those who wish to FOLLOW God must REPENT and BELIEVE the Gospel. It is the Word of God if you here God's Word calling you BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls you....

God's sheep hear His Voice....

Great post I want to say something on this part, I know Im not perfect and when I read His words saying He wants and requires me to do His will, I feel struck by the Spirit of Yah, seeking to do His will, humbled, and knowing His words are true. I dont look for an excuse not to, I look for the strength to do His will. No matter if I fall down 99 times I want to get up 100, that I may o His will and stand in the day of His return, may He strengthen and guide us to truth and His will.

Im not talking about churches or man made requirements. Simply Yah's Instructuions.

Do you believe this verse true? or is this, from the mouth of Yahshua/Jesus the "false gospel" to you?

You will have to help me.
.
What is the difference between these three senerios?...

1. A church tells you you are dead, but Jesus came thast you may have life. Believe in him, Get water baptised. Join a church, give to the poor. Live morally upright lives (don’t break the commands) and you will go to heaven, stop doing these things, and you will lose salvation and end up right back where you started. DEAD

2. A church tells you you are dead, But jesus came that you may have life. Believe in him, Get circumcised. Obey GFods commands given in the Torah, Obey the sabbath, and you will go to heaven, Stop doing these things, and you will lose salvation and end up right back where you started, DEAD

3. A churhc tells you you are dead, But Jesus came that you may have life. Believe in him, and follow his commands given in te Torah, and you will go to heaven, Stop being obedient, and you will lose salvation and end up back where you are, DEAD.

in all three cases. The person was told to believe, and follow these guidelines of obedience, and as long as you do or continue to do those things, you will be saved, But salvation is not assured, it can be lost if you stop being obedient.

Paul said it is not by works of righteousness (which all three of these demand we have to do to maintain salvation) but By Gods mercy we have been saved.

Paul said we have been justified freely, not by works of obedience

Paul said if it is if grace, it is no longer by works (of obedience included) otherwise grace is no longer grace

Paul said we are saved by GRACE through FAITH not by works (works of obedience would be included) less anyone should boast.

Paul said if we are found by works, we have something to boast, Because we have earned a wage. But what does scripture say, ABRAHAm (and us) HAVE FAITH IN GOD and it was acounted to us for righteousness.

You and others like you continue to push works, You continue to push a false gospel.. It does not matter if it is works of the law. Works of some church, or works of any type. WORKS and GRACE do not mix, it is like mixing oil and water, It does not work.

This is exactly what I am talking about, People see faith and the word obedience and automatically ASSUME obedience is required.

So they slam people who claim obedience is a direct result, or a natural output of faith, and ALL who have true faith WILL WORK. And as saying we are speaking against those who love to obey God. When that is far from the truth, we are trying to show them to the truth about faith, that it does work (see the faith hall of fame4 in hebrews, what was the one things all those people did? They had faith in God, thus they did what God said. (If they did not have faith in God, we would never have heard about them, because they would NEVEr have done what God asked)

none are perfect, I am not perfect, yewt this is true, and we are in the age of the mystery of iniquity.
The plain fact is they have never been saved, Will never be saved, until they come to TRUE REPENTANCE and TRUE FAITH. They did not lose salvation, they are not at risk for losing salvation, you can not lose what youhave never recieved.

As john said, whoever sins (is not obedient) HAS NEVER SEEN GOD OR KNOWN HIM.

Has Paul begotten you as he says "I have begotten you through the gospel. So I urge you to imitate me" in this passage:

1 Corinthians 4:15-16, “You may have 10,000 mentors who work for the Messiah, but not many fathers (G3962 patér). For in the Messiah Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. So I urge you to imitate me.”

Matthew 23:9, “And call no man your father (G3962 patér) on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.”

begotten” is word #G1080 gennaó: to beget, to bring forth, Original Word: γεννάω, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: gennaó, Phonetic Spelling: (ghen-nah'-o), Short Definition: I beget, bring forth, give birth to, Definition: I beget (of the male), (of the female) I bring forth, give birth to.

John 13:15, “For I (Jesus) gave you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”

Philippians 3:17-18, “Join together in imitating me, brothers, and pay close attention to those who live by the example we have given you. For I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.”

1 Peter 2:21, “This is, in fact, what you were called to do, because Christ also suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in His steps.”

1 John 1:26, “The one who says that he abides in him must live the same way he (Jesus) himself lived.”

2 Timothy 1:13-15, "Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you. You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.”

John 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

Yahshua/Jesus said:

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

John 14:23-24, "יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.”

John/Yahanan 5:24, "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

John 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have done righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Yah and possessing the witness of יהושעMessiah."

Revelation 14:12, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Yah and the belief of יהושע."

Psalm 40:4, “Blessed is that man who has made יהוה his trust, And has not turned to the proud, And those turning aside to falsehood.” Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil.”

Psalm 18:1-2, "I love You, O יהוה, My strength. יהוה is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer; My Mighty One is my rock, I take refuge in Him; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my high tower."

Psalm 18:30-32, "The Mighty One – His way is perfect; The Word of יהוה is proven; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is Mighty, besides יהוה ? And who is a rock, except our Mighty One? It is Yah who girds me with strength, And makes my way perfect."
Hi Hiz,

WHO CAN FIX A BROKEN HEART?

1 Corinthians 13
2,
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not LOVE, I am nothing.

1 John 4
7, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that LOVES is born of God, and knows God.
8, He that LOVES not knows not God; for God is LOVE.

Romans 13
8, Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE one another: for he that LOVES another hath FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself.
10, LOVE works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Matthew 22
36, Master, which is the greatcommandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it,Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself.

40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANGALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS

1 John 5
3, For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous.

This is why Jesus says.........

John 14
15, IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.

God's sheep hear His Voice.....

Post it all you want, You have not refuted a thing I have said, You do what YTou always do. Refuse to look at what I said, Refuse to point to what I have said in response, but continue to post these long cut and past answers of passages of scripture which do not support your view.

if you teach works are required to maintain salvation, You are depending on your works to save you,. Not God. Thus your faiht is in the law. Yourself having the power to be obedient, or whatever you claim one must do. And not Christ.

  1. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
    I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
  2. ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
    And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
    The hour I first believed.
  3. Through many dangers, toils and snares,
    I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
  4. The Lord has promised good to me,
    His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
    As long as life endures.
  5. Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
    And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
  6. The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
    The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
    Will be forever mine.
  7. When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
    Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
    Than when we’d first begun.
