Hello from the rockies! If I want to start reading the bible in earnest, where do I start; the New Testament? I have been told that is the place to start. Thanks!

The New Testament is good, start with the Gospels :).

I think an interesting way to read the bible is a bit from the Gospels 1st and from the Old testament as well. Like say, read 2 chapters of the Gospel of John and 2 chapters of Genesis. Hope that helps!

We start every new believer with the Gospel of Mark and or John. Then you can move to Acts, Luke and Matthew.

We only fully understand the New Testament in light of the Old Testament.

Read Genesis in Full. Maybe read Mark in parrallel

The Gospels, along with one or two chapters from Psalms or Proverbs...daily!
Psalm is NOT poetry...it is prophecy.
Proverbs is WISDOM

Start in Paul's Epistles.....Romans through Thessalonians........
that's what is written to the born again believer today in the Grace Administration,
you'll see your name right on it [i.e. "saints"] in the opening verses.
