For myself:

Mom side
Scottish
German

Dad's side

I'm not sure which is my dad's side or which is my mom's

But I'm German, Irish, English, and Scottish.

I should mention that I may not actually be French. My lastname is French, and quite rare. Most still live in Europe. But my grand father on my dad's side was adopted into the family and took on the name. All we know of his biological parents was a last name- krawchuck or crawchuck and depending on the spelling it can be Ukrainian or Jewish. Ancestry.com had no more information to provide us with. On my grand mothers side, were all French speakers but I unsure if there is actually any French blood.

Mother's side:
Austrian and Italian, Grandparents immigrated just before WW2.
-I have my Grandmother's hair.

Father's Side:
Native American- My grandfather lives on an Indian Reservation in Arizona. He looks as Native as it gets.
My other grandmother- was from Texas, and beyond that I don't know, other than people say she was Irish German Polish and related to Daniel Boone and Davey Crockett and a whole host of other things that I can find no evidence for.

Also this is birth/ genetic.

I was adopted. My adoptive Father is Welch but mostly just American.
and my Adoptive mother is my aunt but, only through the Grandmother from Texas.

My dads side is English.
My moms side was German and.... possibly Native American.
I am boring, i even have a boring name, just ask MissCris ... oh wait, she doesn't know it =D
The Native American I don't know I have but my dad's side is definitely English and my mom's side is definitely German.

I would encourage those that might not know what to say for what is their heritage to look up your dad's last name in a place like Wikipedia and your mom's last name. This is just a start, as if you really want to find out the 'teensy weensy' (LOL, rel) parts of what you are made up of then go to places outside your parent's last name like your dad's mom's cousins last name, just saying. I am not rightly related but Jake Plummer, who played professional football, was at one time the highest paid quarterback in the NFL for Arizona Caridnals, by the way, is my 4th cousin. This name is from my grandmas side of the family somewhere, great grandma's even, I am not real familiar with all the family tree stuff but hopefully this helps. Think it's grandmas sisters husband that is that 'plummer' name, so, you can search that way too is all I am saying . :)

So, my dad's last name makes me both English, from likely coming from the southern colonies of England, and, Edinburgh is mentioned in there and Glasgow.

Dad's - oxfordshire, staffordshire, Sussex, Huntingdun, Staffordshire, Edinburgh, all in England, I think :D . Anglo Saxon mentioned too. And, some of my name's clan moved to Ireland. Scottish mentioned, too, 'Midlothian,' is the word, to be exact, which makes sense because, like Descype, I like 'Braveheart' a lot too :D . So scottish and iirish blood there in me, likely, too. Depending on the 'move.' LOL Oh, oops, 'Edinburgh' is in Scotland, I see now, LOL, I can't believe I did that, based on who I know I now am, it should be engrained in me, like osmosis :D

Mom's - lower Saxony and east of Saxony in a region of Thuringia. (I don't know! Do you think I make these things up :D ) So, I am part Thuringian , if anyone asks me from now on, I wonder if that's Middle Earthian :D (that was for arwenbaggins, who did this thread, Lord-led, always remember, milady, our actions, if we are with Him, are Lord-led :) )
And, Thuringia, I just found out, is a part of east-central Germany.

So, ugly, if you are anything like me, and, it sounds a lot like you are, then, you are anything but boring bro . You have a rich 'history' inside you :)

edit: glasgow is Scotland too., I just found out Hey, descype ! more and more, it is sounding like we may be long-lost bros :D

While I would say there's much more to who I am than the parts of my blood...

From Dad:
English (Knights, Nobility, Actors, Musicians, Playwrites - 'Player'...yes, Gary is my cousin for those who follow Golf)
Norwegian (Vikings, Nobility...think Beowulf...don't know too much about this part of the lineage)
(and possibly more...like French)

From Mom:
English (Scholars and Nobles...'Meyer')
French (Huguenots, 'inventors of port wine' & who the city Delport is named after, 'Deleporte')
Scottish ('Hemphill'...one of the 5 founding families/clans of Scotland)
Hebrew ('Macintosh' changed from 'Leventosh' during Holocaust/Excommunication by marriage...tribe of Levi or a 'Levite')

Family Crest & Limited Information (I should get our family scholar to help this site out...):

Player Family Crest and History

Ooh! I love playing the "where y'all from" game!

Mom's side
English
Irish
Scottish
Apparently there was some tracing back and my mom's family is related to Captain Henry Morgan. Y'know, the guy on the rum bottle. We are also directly related to the poet William Ernest Henley.

Dad's side
Danish
He actually immigrated to Canada with his family when he was little. What's cool is that I just found out that my dad's grandparents helped hide Jews from the Nazi's in their basement. It's possible that we have viking ancestors as well.

So that makes me a pirate-viking! But I'm 100% Canadian bacon. Mmm.

I forgot to mention, the best part about being half Danish is that I get to watch how people react when I tell them I have Uncles named Thor and Ivan.

Actually, my parents did reseatch on my moms side when i was younger. The results pointed towards Native American, but apparently were not solid enough to say for sure.

Jullianna is a Viking(ess)????!!!!!
I think her precinct should revoke her firearm and have her enforce local code with a battle axe instead. Imagine how freaked out the general citizenry would be to see a uniformed officer patrolling the streets with a double-bladed battle axe with, "To Serve and Protect" engraved on the blade?

In other news, Shour is:

Paternally Caucasian
Maternally Asian

which makes me, as I've joked since high school...Cauc-Asian.
(*ba-dum, tshhhh*)

My mother is an immigrant from Thailand. My father's ancestry hails back to the Alsace-Lorraigne, which has continually been traded between Germany and France, so the name could very well be Franco or Prussian! We don't know for certain, but one of my old man's history profs in college told him that he was very certain that it is Prussian. But really, the old man's just a true blue 'Mercun.
